This is such a special hotel. Very unique and design, well maintained and any very cool location. We were a bit nervous to stay so far from the city, as the hotel is about 25 minutes from Reykjavík. But, when we arrived, we were so glad we did it! You cannot beat the stunning views and location. Being right on the water was so exciting, having views of Reykjavík from across the water was beautiful and the horses roaming around the fields near the hotel were a point of excitement for our kids. We did not meet or talk to any staff while we were staying, but we had no issue or reason to need to reach out. Everything we needed was in the room, and everything was clean and well kept. We did not have an opportunity to use the hot tub or sauna, as we were on a short trip. But we did go up and check them out, and they looked very nice. We highly recommend for anyone with children and or simply seeking beautiful views and some nature outside their room.

Fisherman Village location was outstanding, really loved being surrounded by water and being close to nature with birds and horses. Our bed was comfortable, and the Family room accommodation was spacious. There could have been a few upgrades throughout, for example there was only one TV channel that worked, there were no water glasses or cutlery provided, and the layout of the main area with the fridge could have had more counter space for making coffee or tea. But otherwise, our stay was lovely and the location is very unique.

We liked the location and the architecture very much amenities in our room or somewhat limited, and the sauna was out of order, but the hot tubs were very hot, which I like!

Location was unique. No staff on site. Was not notified that key was in room. Had to drive a few miles to another hotel to be told the keys were in the room. Couldn't get TV to work. Couldn't leave bathroom door open while showering for fear of setting fire alarm off...there is a sign.

We had a very good stay at the Fisherman’s Village. It was a lovely setting, saunas and jacuzzis were clean and easy to use. Our room was cleaned daily and stocked with tea, coffee kettle and mini fridge. We asked - for extra coffee and the staff member literally Ran to get it for us. Easy to get to get to and secluded. Our neighbors were beautiful Icelandic Horses!

Looks cute in photos, dampness and odour in room requires windows open 24/7, unsecured light fixtures hanging from ceiling, wall to wall subway tile look wallpaper peeling in bathroom and water stains on linoleum bath wet-room floor gives it a run down feeling. Shower drain floods the room. No window blinds on A-Frame windows means daylight all night long in summer. No staff on site, self check in/out. Good on-site parking. Remote location. You will need a vehicle for this location as closest pizza restaurant 2.5km away, no other local amenities like grocery or restaurants within walking distance.

The location of this stay is amazing. The layout of the rooms are great for families. The kids will love the loft. The communication with the staff was great after the initial confusion about self check-in verses checking in at the hotel. The bedding was clean. When we arrived, late at night, we discovered the sink was not draining. We contacted the staff and they said someone would be over to take a look at it. They arrived quickly. Because of our late arrival. This meant they showed up at midnight and were working in it until 1am. The gentleman helping do this was great. We later found out that he was the owner of the property. The staff told me that he still likes to get his hands dirty every once in awhile. He was able to make a temporary repair and explained to us that the proper fix would happen the next day. The next day we discovered the shower also didn't drain... There were also a couple issues with finish nails sticking out of the floor on the loft. This could be an issue with smaller children, but ours just steered clear of them. Even with these two small setbacks this stay was great. The location is wonderful. We didn't have time to partake in the hot tub or sauna before we left, but they looked clean and usable. The only true improvement I could think of is that they should have a person on-site to field any issues that may arise.

Such a cute place to stay! Very quiet, clean, and has a great view of the ocean from every view of the property. The horses at the entrance of the property were a pleasant surprise! I would definitely stay here again. The door was a little confusing on how to lock, but it’s my fault for not reading the instructions word for word that were right in front of my face lol

What an awesome place to stay. I loved walking around the property and seeing the ocean and how the inside and the outside was made so special and unique. I wish we had come earlier to take advantage of the outdoor hot tub with the view.

This is an incredibly beautiful space! We found it both comfortable and conveniently located while feeling remote and peaceful. They have beautiful hot tubs and sauna on top of a roof. There are also many Icelandic horses nearby which was a delight to see. Highly recommend to anyone!
