Got up on the morning of our stay, could not have a shower, no cold water from taps in bathroom, just scolding hot water, very dangerous!

The rooms were very clean, however we had a disabled room but only shower with no chair in for the disabled person. The staff were very helpful and did get a chair for the shower. Breakfast was well staffed and a good variety of food on offer. Excellent. Bar was well staffed and well maintained with good stock. Bit disappointed that when we paid for the car parking, we was told £8 per day, however it turned out to be £10 per day. When we booked I also booked for a evening meal, which was supposed to get £25 per meal discount. We was told to pay when we checked out. I appears that we did not get the dis out has promised. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to family and friends.

Lovely hotel in a great location, just a 15 min stroll into town. Helpful friendly staff, good choice of food and drink. Very comfy beds and a quiet location make for a great nights sleep.

Been there numerous times so familiar surroundings. There no seating outside which puzzles me, no benches, no seating nothing, such a shame as it was a beautiful mild day. Breakfast was ok, some things were dry as we don't do early breakfast so the 9.30 eaters basically get whats there but ok.

Only stayed one night, didn't sleep well, woke up to a dog scratching at the door plus many other loud noises and voices. Hotel looks good, room was good, just the noise!

Very friendly and helpful staff

We found the room a bit small compared to the two other times we had stayed here . I did request to have either of the two rooms we had stayed in but my request wasn’t implemented as I was told the hotel was full. Some of the breakfast items was a bit dried out ,( hash browns and black pudding) by the time we came down for breakfast at 9.20am. Breakfast is until 10am but one morning a staff member switched off one of the coffee machines at 9.55am while I was in the queue for coffee, which I thought was a bit rude of him. There is free parking on the street outside if you can get a space instead of having to pay the hotel parking charges. Overall it’s a nice hotel to stay in Harrogate within 15 minutes walk into town.

Room was clean, spacious and modern. Staff very helpful as well. Plenty of car parking available too.

The room was clean and ready on time. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options and fresh, also the tables were positioned well so you weren't sat too close to other guests. The bar prices were reasonable and the bar area had plenty of comfortable seating

Breakfast good and rooms excellent

The room I was given was much older than it appeared in the photos. The carpet was not clean, and there was a strong unpleasant smell as soon as I entered the room. The bathtub glass in the bathroom was dirty, with mold covering the edges. The walls in the room were also in poor condition, with peeling paint and visible damage in several areas.

The breakfast was ok normal English breakfast as per any hotel. The problem always is its never hot and this hotel was no different. I wonder when hotels realise that bay Marie or similar do not work. The room was fine but don't like the new idea of no clean rooms, now it's just top ups of what you need

Bar had run out of Guinness on Saturday afternoon, with no delivery until Tuesday. At breakfast they couldn’t cope with the amount of people on this morning. Ran out of pastries. No body wash in shower. Hotel undertaking an extensive makeover would have been nice to be told this when booking as room smelt heavily of paint.
