Property upkeep and maintenance needs improvement. Pool was closed during the entire stay

Property was clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast time was told started at 6:30 but wasn’t ready until 7:00.

Lots of ants around the pool.

During check in and both nights the person at the front desk was gone for over an hour and people had to wait to check in. The AC in the room I was in wouldn’t go below 71 and it was pretty warm in the room even at night.

A very scary situation as we stayed only one night there. Police were called at this hotel for a violent couple fighting. We had our two year old with us and we were terrified at night, we did not get any sleep

Overall, the trip was amazing! The front desk staff was excellent—such a kind and welcoming group of people. The only downside was that the air conditioning wouldn’t go below 69 degrees, which made the room uncomfortably warm at night and affected our sleep due to it not saying on at night but during the day. I recommend this hotel.

The rooms and entire facility were exceptionally clean. The staff was friendly and my kid loved all the breakfast choices!

Fort Walton Beach is not asv nice and touristy as Destin or Miramar Beach or Panama City Beach, but you can't go wrong with Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott. They're usually very clean, well-maintained and well-managed. The pool was clean and the room was very clean and up-to-date. We had no complaints.

Good Service

Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Staff acted as though we were inconveniencing them. When we checked in the front desk attendant gave me the bedding for the sofa bed. As a guest carrying up luggage I didn’t appreciate having to carry that up too. In the morning, coming down with our luggage on the cart, the maid refused to move her cart to let us through. I understand she has a job to do, but guests should always come first. Breakfast was gross too.
