Near to beach and restaurants

We arrived late after a delayed flight, which was nice for late check in and were put in the first room next to the service counter. We could hear everything but didn't mind since it was a short stay. Very small room, with a full shade and aluminum blinds. It was dark. The room was beat up from use and needed a fresh coat of paint. All of that would be find, if there was decent hospitality. I had ordered breakfast when I booked through Expedia. The breakfast staff and barista were awful, nothing like the last room we booked in Barcelona. He stood and watched anything I ate and glared at me the whole time. The food was grainy with each egg dish and my daughters yogurt had to be thrown out. He absolutely had a fit when I tried to pour my leftover water into my water bottle. Came across the room to yell at me in Spanish. To top it all off, I asked the front desk if I could have another coffee while I waited for my Uber. The nice guy behind the front desk said yes, so I proceeded. Then the barista yelled again and I told him I was allowed. Then they would not let us leave without paying 2.80 euros for the coffee. So NO FREE Coffee in the room or drip, even if you pay for breakfast. As soon as you get up, they charge you again. Horrible Staff and Service. Sad to leave our amazing 2 week trip with this experience. Run and do not book.

Was perfect for us. Close to airport. Clean. Good breakfast options and pool. Check in was good. Could be quicker. Able to store luggage.

Great spot by the beach and good restaurants near by. Stayed only for the night. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Even carrying my luggage up the stairs of the entrance. Love the terrace.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel 153 and would definitely return. Positives: Hotel is kept clean, open 24/7. Swimming pool, black out blinds and balcony. Close to beach and nearby resturants and bars. 15 mins walk from train station.. easy to get into central barcelona (about 40mins by train). Ideal out of city quiet but with enough going on area for wanting beach days and barcelona city days. Can see how people may say staff are miserable.. i refused to acknowledge that and greated them all in spanish and made convo and they started speaking more and more each time lol. Negatives: Hotel was not responding to questions sent via expedia and email before stay. We stayed on floor 1 and the walls are very thin can hear a lot of noise at all times (this however doesnt phase me as will sleep through anything) but imagine if your a light sleeper it would be a lot and quite disturbing. Walls could do with being painted (however room was clean).

The staff was amazing!!! Super helpful and courteous, The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the sands of the Mediterranean, restaurants everywhere and whatever food you desire, the hotel room was extremely small, but very comfortable beds, definitely can use some updating, walls a little thin, but very convenient... The room was very clean, and the area is lovely!

5min walk from the beach. You’re close to it all. Coffee shops, restaurants, etc.

Comfortable rooms. Hotel close to the beach and a 20 mins walk from train station.

There’s no ramp to get your luggage into the hotel, you have to carry it up the stairs yourself but other than that the hotel was pretty nice and the staff was friendly.

Staff members were excellent

It was amazing! I felt safe during my whole stay. The room was great, and the beds were so comfy. I really enjoyed my stay here.
