Staff were extremely helpful and nothing was any trouble at all Dogs and pets are very welcome and there are dog beds, treats in the bar and if you book a pet there is a pet welcome pack, bed, bowls, treats in the room Stayed 2 nights, the breakfast was excellent and i could not fault the evening meal all food was well presented and taste delicious, I ordered starters and sides rather than a full meal and it was enough food for me. The pub atmosphere was great everyone was chatty and welcoming, including other guests and locals, as a female solo traveller that kind of social vibe made me feel relaxed and safe. I would definitely stay again or drop in for a drink and meal.

I’ve stayed here on quite a few occasions. This time was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was in need of a good overall and breakfast, which is normally a highlight, fell below standard with small portions of overcooked items. The hash browns were inedible whilst the bacon and black pudding were brittle. I hope this a one off blip and that normal service will be resumed for my next visit.

An excellent all round hotel experience. The Management and Staff are friendly, efficient and professional in every respect.I am well retired, but have 34 years working in the Hospitality Sector. , the last 22 as a lecturer in the subject and training provider to the MOD. The only suggestion I would make is could they reinstate the biscuits in the room please.

Great village pub with delicious food and very friendly staff. Only downside was the coffee machine in room 234 was faulty.

Breakfast doesn’t start till 8 and we had an event to be at by 9 both days so didn’t get the full experience which was a shame, not the hotel’s fault tho

Noisy, creaking floors form above and corridor, chimes every 15 minutes from the church that start again at 6am! Broken lamps, lampshades and radiator valves and watered down shower gel. No onsite parking if arriving in the evening.

Room was ok. Leaking shower valve meant it dripped into the bath constantly Food was fantastic.

everything about the property was fantastic. There was a couple of things that are tired but I just put that down to wear and tear staff is amazing. The cleanliness is unbelievable. Great choice of wine and beer , fantastic location real village feeling everybody was so friendly in the area

Quick check-in. Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable room with good choice of beverages and lovely homemade biscuits. Bathroom with The White Company products and good shower. Breakfast selection was sufficient and full English was tasty.

Our room was right on the road so a bit noisy. My meal wasn’t great. Staff were fab though and made us very welcome
