This was such a bad hotel experience! The rooms were not cute and put together at all. The rooms were super worn down do not trust the pictures at all. What I can say is that the staff were absolutely amazing and helpful they made the experience a good one. Please update the rooms, the money I spent was not worth what I received.

Very little information from the check in staff,( didn’t tell us when or where breakfast was served, didn’t tell us about the shuttle service to the beach, or about the chairs and parasols available on the beach).Also for an international hotel group language barrier was an issue! Breakfast was virtually the same every morning, restaurant staff wiped the tables clean but wiped food off tables on the chairs and floor. In our room there was mould in the shower room, the door was dirty around the handle and along the edge of the door, the air conditioning vent had lots of dust and fluff in them, the sink had mould around the top of it and there was no plug in it to hold water, light switch was dangerously loose and my wife wiped the walls down as these didn’t seem to have been done! There was an inspection hatch that was dirty with grime.The air conditioning never went lower than 22 degees even though we set to 18, the master switch for the lights didn’t work by the bed, we had to go to the door to switch off the main lighting off. Keycard for the rooms needed resetting 7 times during our 13 night stay, this meant you couldn’t get up to your room via lift without an active keycard, and on 2 occasion we got up to our room on the 10 floor and then couldn’t access our room so we had to return to reception! Rooftop pool was green with algae and the shower area there was very dirty, poolside lifeguard was asleep in the disabled lift(no help to any child if they were in trouble).

The staff was excellent but the construction across the street made sleeping not great. Breakfast was pretty good. I enjoyed the dinner buffet as well the staff were all very friendly. It was alright.

This has been one of the worst Hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived at this hotel in the middle of a heat wave. They assigned me to a room without air-conditioning. When I complained about it, they said they would replace my room only to let me wait for an hour before I really lost my patience, went down and checked out. As I was checking out and describing my negative experience, the staff of the hotel were smirking and giggling. I had to scramble in the middle of the night in Rio de Janeiro to find another hotel to stay to make matters worse, my booking was done through Expedia and the hotel is making hard for me to get a refund for the 10 days I was supposed to spend there when I checked out on the very first day. There was a construction in front of the hotel parking was terrible. The parking attendance themselves don’t have any air-conditioning those guys are there with a broken fan. The whole thing is terrible. The crowd in the hotel looked really iffy. I definitely do not recommend this hotel. If you’re going to Rio de Janeiro, take it from a local and native, do not stay in this place.

Good hotel and great staff. We had a/c issues and they switched our room - very friendly and accommodating . The only downside of hotel is the pool - it is small and over crowded . Overall we would come here again and recommend to others as well.

The reception staff were outstanding and so very helpful. The location is perfect, as access to the beach, downtown and shopping malls is super easy. Barra de Tijuca is a great location! Rooms need to be updated

I pulled up in a taxi and asked at the front desk for change and there was none I was told. I then waited to check in for 30 minutes and 3 other guests interrupted a staff member and she assisted them before addressing me. I then finally got my turn to check in and no enthusiasm or mention about the New Year’s festivities so I brought it up. I was told it was sold out but that I could see fireworks from the rooftop on floor 15. Not as described on the website which referenced a beach experience. There is black mold around the sink faucet. There was no obvious place for the ice bucket nor did I see where I might get ice. I tried to call for assistance but no number works. The soup that I ordered tasted like paste flavored with lemon with shrimp added. The salad was not a salad that should be on the menu it had cheap lettuce I eburg vs spring mix or arugula and sliced tomatoes with drops of a dressing that was not something I could select. In fact it said pick up to 10 options and you could not pick one. The soup was given back due to its mashed potato consistency and basic lemon only flavor and the salad was also returned. Again I had to go to the front desk because the phone doesn’t allow a call to go through from your room. When I attempted to place my room service order it did not go through because it said no guest under my name was in room 641. There was no manager on site for a busy holiday event?? I am paying $500 the holiday rate for 1 night and want discount!!!
