Spacious room with comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful to organize transport to the airport.

The room was not as advertised, a little drab, and dirty, unfinished refurbished look, however, the staff and other guests were excellent!

We chose to stay at this property to catch an early morning flight. The hotel is super convenient for this, and likely one of the only reasons they remain in business. First, we did not feel welcome at the property. The receptionist in the restaurant asked for our passports, copied the info, then handed us our room key. No pleasentries exchanged. Next, the interior and exterior of the building were much more dated than the photos. Our room had marks all over the walls, a hole in the bathroom door which had been filled with toilet paper, hair that looked to be mopped around on the bathroom floor, dirt in the bottom of the shower, plenty of calcium build up on the showerhead and shower base, a broken rusted handle for the shower, and a missing light cover for the bathroom light. We had read that the restaurant below was amazing, but after seeing how dirty and unmaintaimed the room was we decided not too push our luck, as who kmows what the kitchen is like. If you are in need of a cheap hostel, this is your place, as airport and beach access are easy.

The excellent and friendly staff of Il Pirata is their greatest asset. Such a pleasure to interact with these wonderful people! The food and dining experience is a close second. Wonderful food, comfortable environment, and great family of staff. Very convenient to the Palermo airport, and within easy day trips of many interesting and dramatic views of Sicily and Sicilian history. Il Pirata is very highly recommended!

No protein at breakfast, staff did not offer to help with luggage

Friendly staff and a great restaurant made staying at this hotel worth it. The rooms are fairly simple but its within walking distance of the beach, dinner at the restaurant was wonderful, and everyone was friendly. A good option if you are looking to save in the Paloma area.

Our stay for 1 night to catch the plane at the Palermo airport was amazing, fantastic restaurant!

The two good things about the hotel is that it is 10 minutes to the Palermo airport and the restaurant on the ground floor is acceptable. The hotel room itself may be one step above a hostel. Just a flat sheet over a bare mattress with another flat sheet over that. With one very lumpy pillow. When I asked for another cover, I was given two very sketchy looking brown bedspreads. We were given to rough bath towels, and one hand towel. The elevator is an antique. And we couldn’t find the stairs. The elevator took his long is five minutes to arrive. And there are only the ground floor and the first floor. The ground floor is a restaurant in the first floor has rooms.

Convenient to the airport. Friendly staff. The rooms are clean and the trattoria below has fabulous food!!

A good value hotel. The entrance and arrival was uninspiring but the room was spotless and the breakfast staff pleasant and helpful. Although the hotel is very close to the airport the taxi fare was €40. However, I would certainly stay again as a transit hotel.

It is near the airport which was about a 10min drive. Simple check out and spacious rooms. However, the room had some bugs, was dirty, and had trash his the closet. Additionally, we had to ask for toilet paper which the hotel seemed bothered to provide.

From the moment we walked in we were treated like family! Filippo was professional yet down to earth, cracking a joke or two as he checked us in. The entire staff was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was OUTSTANDING! If you’re looking for fancy-go elsewhere. This is a modest little older hotel in a quiet little town. Not expensive at all. It was enough for us! Would recommend.

My flight out of Palermo was cancelled and I couldn't get rebooked for two days. This turned into a positive thing because I spent two nights at Hotel Il Pirata and spent the extra days at the beach and exploring the quaint city of Cinisi.
