The room is small but clean, broken light in bathroom, however it smells like Indian food and cigarettes eventhough it is a smoke free facility. You get a mini fridge and coffe maker which is great. The reception area feels like u are walking into someone's living room...shoes everywhere. Very strong smells. I greeted the reception with a hello and how are you doing and got nothing in return. Here on May 24 weekend but pool not open. Best part is the location and the price. I could do one night again but definitely not more than one. They clearly are trying... fresh paint everywhere. Clean new muskoka chairs and considering it's on the main road it is very quiet.

This place is disgusting. Please see the pictures I added for context. I travel for a living, so I've been living in hotels/motels for 8 years now, all over Canada and the US. So I have been in countless motels. And this has got to be the worst motel I have ever stayed at. Was supposed to stay 2 nights but left after one night because it was unacceptable. Other reviews say the people at the front desk are really rude, and I can confirm this is true. When I checked in, the guy was in a horrible mood, acting as if I was bothering him by giving him business. To be fair, I would be in a bad mood, too, if I worked at this nightmare motel... The reason I added pictures is because there is no way to verbally explain how dirty the walls are... There is what looks like throw-up on the bathroom wall by the toilet, which isnt just gross, its a health concern. It should be cleaned properly, maybe sanded, and then painted over the stain. But they just left it... absolutely disgusting. There's small "chunks" along the bottom edge of this stain... All baseboards are filthy. Walls and door surfaces are dirty and smudged heavily. Hand prints and black smears all over the walls, you dont even want to touch anything its so gross (pics), not to mention all the chips in the paint and dings in the drywall. Mirror visibly dirty. As if nothing has been cleaned in weeks. As other reviews say, the floors are in fact very dirty. I dont think they sweep, because there are food crumbs all over the floor. And if they havent swept, they obviously havent mopped either, so the floors are filthy. On top of that, there is a colony of ants due to the unswept crumbs everywhere (pics). The floor by the fridge has quite a few ants, and just sitting in bed I have found ants crawling on me! The microwave, I had to clean myself. Something had clearly exploded in there. I wish I had thought to get a picture of it before I cleaned it. Even the remote for the TV is filthy! I honestly dont understand how it could even get this dirty. (see pics). The internet is horrible. And there is a sign on the TV that says you are not allowed to use a game console or a fire stick/streaming services. So you are forced to only watch the cable TV which hardly ever has anything worth watching. This is literally the only accommodation (if you can call it that) Ive ever been to in 8 years that doesnt let you use a fire stick or similar device. So you cant use Netflix or any streaming device, or game, or literally anything other than their crappy cable. Other interesting details: Theres a floor lamp in the corner of the room and it doesnt have a plug to plug into. What is the point of a lamp being here if its unusable? They just put it in there for looks? It doesnt even stand up properly! Just another example of the amount of effort they put into this place... The front windows have blackout curtains, but the window in the back of the room right beside the bed only has messed up blinds that lets the light in right in your eyes (pics). Why have blackout curtains for only half the room? Especially when theres a window right at the bed! Again, not much effort or thought put in here. And the housekeeper just walked in, didnt even knock. What if I was naked? Its like this place has zero standards. Absolutely horrible. I called this the "nightmare motel" and it was only 1 night. If I owned this motel, I would be embarrassed to have anyone stay here. They clearly dont care about any kind of quality or cleanliness. If they think this is acceptable accommodation conditions for a business, they should be embarrassed. Dont run an accommodation business if you cant even clean a tv remote or sweep a floor.

Would not recommend for you to stay here. The owner is racist and scammy and the room was dirty. I stayed here for work. We agreed on 80 cash, but he charged me 89. Then when I asked about the difference he claimed he never said 80. But I was already there so I chaulked it up to a loss, 89 is still a decent price. Then when I extended my stay 2 nights he charged me 201(I understand having to charge tax when I pay with debit). When I went to check out I asked for clarification about the 80/89$ rate difference, I will be back in town in the future and want to tell coworkers what the rate is. He cuts me off and starts a tiraid in somewhat broken english. The problem is in that rant he interchanges the number 80 and 89 multiple times. So I point this out to him and say this is the source of the issue, he is saying two different things(I believe intentionally). He then loses his mind and starts yelling at me in much better english to get out of his buisness, and he calls me cheap, that I would care so much about 20$(not what my confusion was about). I told him I didn't come in to argue. I assumed he would be able to articulate the mistake and apologize for the miscommunication. Well he didnt like that, he continues yelling that he has been in the industry for 34 years and will not apologize to anyone and he will not be intimidated(wasn't trying to intimidate, just dared to question his own words) saying he used to work in manhatten and had to deal with "n-word blacks". Basicly I went in and thought I'd have a civil 2 minute conversation on the way out of town, instead the owner yelled, swore, stuck up his middle finger, made racist remarks. Also the bedding was stained, the bathtub and sink drains don't drain, there are mold spots that have been poorly painted over, floors were sticky, lightbulb was burnt out etc. Overall it was in rough shape but good enough for what I needed. I would not have stayed here if I was with my family. TL/DR The owner told me 80/89$ a night interchangeably and when I asked him about it he began yelling, swearing, and being randomly racist. Also the room was dirty.

This place is an absolute dump. The owner was beyond aggressive and appeared completely intoxicated when we arrived. The property is advertised as pet-friendly, yet when my parents checked in around midnight with their cat, they were immediately turned away. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner screamed at them to get off the property, used profanity, and made bizarre comments about how cats are “different in India because of the heat.” I have traveled extensively and have never witnessed such shocking, unprofessional behavior from someone in the hospitality industry. Being stranded late at night is bad enough, but being screamed at by the owner of the establishment is completely unacceptable. This was one of the worst customer service experiences my family has ever had. Avoid at all costs. The owner’s conduct was erratic, aggressive, and completely inappropriate for someone running a hospitality business.

The beds are amazing.! These people are absolutely amazing! So many motels to choose from but this one is a gem!,, thank you so much for the stay and I look forward to next time when working in the area!
