Nice reception, ok room, good location for trip pick up and walking to the beach. We didn’t use the amenities on the rooftop.

Our king bed room had a weird layout of 80% bed, leaving the rest of the space feeling tight and cramped. Lighting is either all on or a small bed-side lamp. The bathroom felt dated and lacked amenities like to hang towels and clothes. Service and breakfast were very good and the lobby and rooftop areas in particular were very nice. The location around is very lively. A bit sketchy but you can find anything you need within walking distance at any hour.

I’m honestly really disappointed with my stay at this hotel in Rio. The first room we were given was nothing like the photos online and was in really poor condition. It was dirty, had a strong moldy smell, and it genuinely felt like we were put in one of the worst rooms they had available. It was such a frustrating way to start our trip. To their credit, they did move us to another room after we complained, and I appreciate that they made the change. But it’s still hard to get past the feeling that we were initially placed in a room they knew was far below standard. No guest should have to ask just to be given a clean and acceptable room. Another frustrating issue was the housekeeping. Our toilet paper was not refilled unless we specifically asked for it, which is such a basic thing that should be handled automatically. It added to the feeling that the overall service and attention to the rooms was lacking. The only truly positive part of the stay was the breakfast, which was genuinely good every morning, and the busboys were incredibly kind and helpful each time we had breakfast. Even though they changed our room, I’m still left disappointed overall because the first impression and the lack of basic upkeep really affected our trip.

Room had tiny little space to move for 3 people. Door did not lock properly. It would open automatically. Informed several times but I found to days door was open all the way for whole day after the room was serviced and o had all my personal uses stuffs and luggage open for everyone in the floor passing by my room!!

Hotel was good I would recommend asking for a room with a balcony, our room did not have this and limit light came into the room Majority of the staff were polite, only one staff member at breakfast was not welcoming Overall a positive stay, within a short uber of all attractions

I had a terrible experience at RRPH. My two week stay began Sunday Dec 21, 2025. During my two week stay I went to the front desk to extend my stay one additional day. I spoke to the same staff member at the front desk on two separate occasions he assured me extending my stay one additional day would be no problem he quoted me the price of $55 or $75 dollars. Sunday January 4, 2026 I received a phone call from the front desk indicating I have over stayed my time at the hotel and there was no record of extending my stay an additional day. I was told the hotel is booked my room is needed and I must leave the room immediately. I requested to speak with the manager. I was told there was no manager on duty. I received no apology nor compensation. I look forward to hearing from Expedia and RRPH. I hope no other guest in the future experience what I did. Thank you

Unfortunately I didn’t make it to breakfast but ordered room service couple times and got an outside shop delivery to front desk staff where friendly and helpful even with language barrier

Dirty hotel, small rooms, guest smoking marijuana in the pool area, old gym, breakfest is a joke.

Our room had a cockroach issue for which we were moved to a different room. The second room had a leaking AC which made our suitcases wet and had a leaking bidet which dirtied our washroom floor. The front desk staff are very rude with the exception of one or two members. We had a missing outfit & personal towel that was taken by a housekeeper and the staff gave us runaround for three days until we finally put our foots down and they returned the items to us. Not sure how this hotel has 4 stars - we will never stay here again.

Same thing everyday I stayed there for ten days maybe two or three days would be ok

Plentiful breakfast but limited options outside of fruit for vegetarians and vegans
