I brought a group of friends to the Monasterio hotel as I had visited there 3 years ago. We were not disappointed. It is a fabulous hotel with a wealth of interesting features. The quality of the service is very high. My friends were pleased immensely with their stay in this wonderful venue.

Incredible service from arrival with all the welcome information for your stay prepared and printed in your language. The building is a former monastery and very spacious with its own unique history. Many parts of the hotel display links to that history including underground archeology now incorporated as a museum next to the underground car park, a very interesting encounter. Free parking both outside and within the secure basement car park.

Such an amazing, unique spot to stay at. The hotel was quiet and clean. They've preserved its history, which you can enjoy in the hallways, gardens, and museum. The restaurant had some of the most delicious food we encountered on our 9-day trip throughout Spain, and it was authentic to the area. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The history of the property is truly historic. The TV had no English speaking channels like BBC…that would have been great.

Beautiful hotel great staff

Very nicely updated property. Clean and comfortable. Customer service was great. Lots of photo ops within the hotel and great history. Given the quality of the hotel I was surprised with the bar. Very limited selection. Not the one to order a martini. We had a bad experience at the breakfast restaurant and could not eat. Ordered eggs Benedict and had to be returned. Order scrambled eggs and 35 mins later neither had arrived. Service was apologetic and comped the rest of it. Wine tasting next door is “meh” The monastery turned hotel is located close to a small town but in a very picturesque area. Wine tasting next door was “meh”. Tasted three wines for 10€ Ample parking.

It was a great experience. We would like to come back again.

Wonderful Parador in huge 18th C monastery. Superbly restored, big, well equipped rooms. Fabulous old library. Excellent restaurant. Big car park. Surrounding area very scenic. An hour or so drive to Oviedo.

The property is simply great

Excellent hotel and difficult to fault the only reason for not being so eco friendly was a personal thing about individual coffee pods in the machines in the restaurant for breakfast very wasteful when a small pot of coffee would more than suffice. Yes this is a luxury hotel but no need to be so wasteful

The SPA was great and so was the breakfast. Beautiful scenery.
