We stayed 2 nights as a group of 6 in the bunk barn. The room was full of mould. The bunk barn doenst peovide enough space for 6 people and very little space to store belongings. Mould can cause serious risk to health when inhaled and given we had people with asthma in our group its a blessing it didnt cause and harm at this time. The female bathroom was infested in flies. All over the toilet paper and trapped between the sheets of the toilet paper, nevermind the amount in the sink and the amount of dust in the vent would suggest its not been cleaned in years. Whist we didnt expect 5* accomodation in a bunk barn we did expect access to clean and safe accommodation. I feel a refund for our terrible stay here is more than justified.

First arrived and the sign to the hostel was covered so you can’t see where to go We met a really nice lady who told us we should had an email with booking room number we we didn’t.. The room wasn’t great it needs updating the place smells of feet in the corridor and room The room wasn’t great it clean the beding and towels clean just the carpet was stained you didn’t wanna put your feet on it The walls where painted over mold The bathrooms where clean need more than 1 shower and 1 loo Over all the place needs doing up it’s really dated and again smells the lady who helped up was a 10/10 though and it did us for the night after a long walk

A great room for 6 people. Clean. Good shower and toilets. Great location next to mountains and pubs.

Only bunk beds nothing else there in rooms . No table . The shared bathroom's were flooded.

This bunk house is ideally situated for walkers, its basic but has what you need. The hotel near by the food is amazing, staff lovely and dog friendly

This was perfect for a base to explore. Very clean and comfortable. A bed and somewhere to shower. A kettle for a quick cuppa and then you are good to go!

Ideally located, but never been to bunk houses before with such minimal drying facilities- no idea how you would use this place in a typical wet winter- 1 radiator nowhere near hooks and then the radiator was on on for a few hours- given the wet weather that was a problem Other than that pretty good

Small, clean rooms. Clean bathroom. Note that there is no WiFi and no phone reception but the nearby pubs have WiFi. Beautiful surroundings.

We booked last minute when the rain started coming down so happy to have a dry comfortable night! Rooms are quite tight but they’re designed for sleep rather than spending time in during the day!

Very well located in Great Langdale. Warm place. Very small room, but that was ok & acceptable. Great 2 head showers. Very, very Covid compliant. Especially liked the hand sanitiser OUTSIDE before you use the door key pad. Improvements: Needs separate recycling box(s) and not just 1 rubbish bin. Discussing the booking was hard as I didn't get reply to answerphone messages until several days later. overall Excellent, and thx 4 discount for long term stay.

Pleasantly surprised about how organised it is and clean too. I am not sure if it is value for money though.
