We arrived at 2.30pm for a 3.00pm check-in. No-one arrived!! Eventually we asked a local guy to call the number stated by Hotels.com as our mobile phones did not work. Someone eventually turned up with keys at 4.30pm ..no aplogy that we waited on the doorstep for 2 hours. We had to pay 50euros "in cash" for the apartment to be cleaned, although only there for 2 nights,on top of the retal already paid. We went out to the local supermarket to buy supplies as we were self catering, but couldn,t get into the apartment. We got through the street door, went to the first floor and the key turned in the lock but the door would not open. Got neighbours to try without success. It was now dark and we were sat on the stairs outside the apartment unable to get in. My wife managed to access a "skype" call to call the owner. He said he would not come for 2 hours. We tried to call Hotels.com but the number rang and rang until it disconected. We eventually managed to get the door open around 9.00pm by having to lay back pulling the door towards you using all of your weight to free the catch which we discovered jammed every time we went out. We only found out by trial and error by one of us on the outside and one on the inside, after many tries getting locked out my wife discovered the problem.
The one positive is that the apartment was huge with 3 bedrooms for the 2 of us. Another negativewas that there was no heating or cooling(air con) and we sat with coats on in the evening cold at night
