We absolutely loved our stay here. It is a tranquil, modern, beautifully designed and decorated 5 room Quinta with fantastic views over the valley. Our room was lovely with a large and extremely comfortable bed, walk in shower and a good sized balcony overlooking the pool area and the valley. The pool area was great with lots of options of comfy sun loungers, chairs and tables, plenty of room for all guests. We ate in each night where a different fixed menu is served each evening, often using home grown or locally sourced ingredients and consisting of appetisers, a starter, main course, dessert and a glass of port. Every meal was exceptional and really great value. We also drank a fair bit of the very reasonably priced local wine which were all excellent. There was also an extensive breakfast served every morning which included everything you could want, various types of eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, pancakes, waffles, cakes, fruits, yoghurt, jams and conserves etc. And finally, last but certainly not least, the people, including the owner Christian, were incredibly welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. They couldn't do enough for you. We loved every moment of our 3 nights here and wish we could have stayed for longer. Just to note it is a little tricky to find when you first arrive but if you use Waze (not Google as it takes you a weird way) and the GPS coordinates it is not a problem. Overall truly exceptional!!!!

Wow what a beautiful place! A very good choice

Everything about Quinta do Bosque is exceptional — from the warm reception when we arrived to the stunning views of the Douro Valley mountains from the pool. The property is set in a peaceful, secluded spot away from the busier tourist areas, making it the perfect place to unwind. Getting there takes a little patience (the roads are narrow and winding), but it’s absolutely worth it once you arrive. The staff are wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and always eager to make your stay special. The rooms and amenities are top-notch, far exceeding our expectations. Breakfasts are delicious and generous, with plenty of variety. We dined at the on-site restaurant both evenings and were blown away by the quality and creativity of the menu — and the wine selection was excellent too. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the kitchen surprised me with a beautiful (and very tasty!) cake. We truly didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking for a restful and luxurious escape in the heart of the Douro Valley, I can’t recommend Quinta do Bosque highly enough. We’re already planning our return! 🌸

This was literal heaven. Warm, attentive service, spectacular views, comfortable rooms (even with room darkening electric shades), incredible food, and not a thing overlooked with the tiniest attention to detail that makes this place perfect. They even sock a fridge with wines and beers and offer snacks / tapas during the day if you feel like lounging by the pool and never leaving. They offer a set course dinner which changes nightly as well and the breakfast was so great you really should just park here for days at a time.

This place was fantastic! Maria and her team made us feel so welcome and everything was wonderful from the accommodations to the food to the amazing staff! It was completely relaxing and my family and I enjoyed every minute at Quinta do Bosque.

We had the most amazing stay at Quinta do Bosque. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The photos do not do the location, view or accommodations justice. It is more beautiful. The food is fantastic. The best breakfasts we've had at a hotel, and one of the best dinners ever. Even Becas, the dog, was adorable and added to our stay. Thank you Quinta staff for an amazing experience.

Honestly one of the best hotel stays of my life. Cristiano, the owner, has curated most wonderful oasis at Bosque. From the decor, to the staff and service, the immaculate grounds, and don’t get me started on the food - every experience and encounter was 10/10. Book it. You won’t regret it. It truly felt like home.

This was an amazing stay! The hospitality was wonderful and the view was outstanding! We had breakfast and diner at the hotel each day and all the good was delicious. This Quinta is a destination on its own. Looking forward to coming back!
