Huge room with all the usual amenities and lots of character. Attached bathroom was nearly as big with a roll top bath and walk in shower. Excellent service in the restaurant at both dinner and breakfast. Food was very good. Would definitely stay again

Nice hotel, good afternoon tea, bathroom could have done with a deeper clean (hairs in corners)

Slept away from the main house, up some very rickety metal stairs in a different building. A lot of noise from the room next door late at night. We could hear them going in and out. We could hear them in the bathroom. No bath. No chair to sit and do hair and makeup, and tv was in front of mirror anyway.

The hotel and the grounds were full of character. The bathroom was incredible. However, the issue was the noise. Needs some serious sound proofing. The room was above reception and was incredibly noisy. Also, the room lacked services considering the price per night. Limited drinks available, and had to ask for bathrobes.

A really comfortable stay, and a great night's sleep, that felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, but still close enough to other amenities that you don't feel isolated. I didn't have dinner on this occasion, due to other commitments, but the menu looked very enticing. Breakfast was well presented and tasted amazing. Just what i needed whilst working away from home.

Friendly from start to end. Good food. Good atmosphere in lovely rural setting, but just two miles from M5. We were travelling down from the north west to the West Country and back, and it was a perfect breaking point for our journey.

Room was very clean and spacious with the biggest cosiest bed. Nice variety of drinks in the room. Bathroom facilities very good. We used the hotels restaurant and the food was outstanding. Lovely cosy fireside seating to relax into. We will definitely return.

Great stay, very comfortable although not a fan of the sloped roof in the India Mews. The soundproofing is a little poor, as could hear neighbours marching around. Otherwise, staff were excellent and attentive, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options and the grounds are spectacular. You feel transported to another, classier and more wonderful era.

I only had a quick visit to Berwick Lodge, late arrival and early departure , but it was a very comfortable stay with a lovely breakfast in the morning. A little pricey compared to others but still nice regardless. Will happily return

A beautiful hotel in extensive grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The only problems we encountered was the tiny bathroom with a low beam which resulted in banging ones head if not extremely careful, and the room door which could be closed only by giving it a loud bang, and the handle being prone to fall off.

Stayed here previously and we had a good room in the main house. This time we were in the annexe (Caspian) and the room was small with no soundproofing from the adjoining room (you could hear next doors TV loud and clear). Avoid the annexe!!!
