Hi everyone, This hotel is a gem in Torquay, the staff are excellent, the rooms are clean, the eveing food is exceptional, the breakfast (I was not around due to work for the hot food) but had a nice selection of cold like cereal, melon, meats etc. Would I stay again YES

This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated as are the rooms which are so spacious, spotless and really well equipped. We were kindly offered a room upgrade as no twin rooms were available which really made a difference to our stay. Every member of staff we met were so polite and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. We also enjoyed our swim in the pool and relaxing in the sauna and steam room afterwards. The hotel is in a great location to explore Torquay and the surrounding area too. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone. Thank you all so much for such a memorable stay.

It was excellent

Hotel was lovely just needed air conditioning, also bathroom was small and shower very small. A lovely hotel and staff.

We stayed here as we were travelling to Cornwall so a quick stop over. The room we had was a classic king bed. The room was small in comparison to most hotels with that standard of room - very narrow entry and distance between the end of the bed and the wall. The shower was extremely small making it difficult to actually get in and out. The room was very hot - no air conditioning so we opened the window to at least have some air circulation and only a duvet on the bed so somewhat uncomfortable sleep. Meals were substantial, breakfast choices were great and the restaurant well set up. Some staff very helpful and welcoming.

This was my second stay at this hotel and did not disappoint despite the high bar the previous stay set. I was able to park near the hotel entrance and did not need to leave due to everything being within walking distance. The room was wonderful and the bed very comfy. I used the gym for a cardio and weights session prior to getting something to eat. All the staff were really friendly and there were a lot of continental breakfast items available prior to ordering something from the cooked menu. There were only 2 drawbacks for me - The portions for the cooked breakfast were quite meagre and the bacon was not cooked well plus the gym could really benefit from having a proper bench that allows you to sit while being upright. Other than that, I look forward to being here again in the future.

Lovely hotel. Good location close to the front. Ample parking. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Breakfast service was excellent and food high quality. No negatives to say about this hotel. Will definitely return.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is in a fantastic location - just minutes from the beach and short walk to the town centre. The bus route allowed us to get to all attractions easily, and the hotel has a lovely park with mini golf next door. The pool is tad small at probably about 10-12 metres, and the Sian and steam room not that hot but still good to have the facilities. Also worth noting that many older generation (retired) people use this hotel, so not many guests under 50.

Friendly nice staff. I experienced a few mishaps from booking/reception with miscommunication. This meant I could only get one spa treatment of two I had booked. I went here to get rest to get away from my home where it’s loud this weekend making sleeping impossible. I asked for a quiet room prior to arrival. Room 145 was assigned . Very cozy. However not only did this room get unbearably hot it also faced the sea and road. Sea view yay but road boo! Was kept awake from loud noises all night cars speeding people being loud coming home. Also I couldn’t keep the window closed as it was so hot I actually felt nauseous. Next day I was allocated a new room no 125 which felt more airy & cooler so that was great but it faced the parking a burnt out house and bins. Unfortunately I was woken up AGAIN by whatever someone was doing to the bin/wheelie that sounded like banging outside. Fell asleep about 4am woke up by loud guests having conversations outside my room at 6.25 am! The cleaning staff starts really early with hovering which was annoying . This hotel is old & has a lot of noises.You can hear your neighbour as floor squeaks. Amenities were nice.Breakfast was good but could have done with more items.Had dinner here it was cooked far too much it was watery which I told staff thinking this being 4 stars would be fixed by a discount of this dish as I only ate 1/4 & the veggies but no. It’s these sort of things I think needs addressing to get this hotel to a deserved 4 star.

Staff were very helpful the bed and room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

Lovely breakfast . Free on site parking . Luckily we had a free upgrade , always a bonus . Friendly reception staff.

Excellent all round stay

Excellent short stay; arrived early not expecting room to be available. Offered complimentary coffee and tea while we waited which was a lovely touch. Room was good with spacious bathroom. Breakfast was varied with good choice and no long wait for service. Free parking anywhere these days is also a real bonus. Definitely recommend and will visit again when in area.
