Hotel is very clean and nice to stay in and in a very good area

Bar and Restaurant next door as well as the hotel’s own restaurant. Room clean and well stocked with tea and coffee. Bathroom newly installed. Complementary toiletries. Will return again.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a birthday weekend for my hubby, thankfully had a weekend full of plans and didn't need to spend to much time in the room. Bathroom disgusting, skirting boards full of dust, underneath the sink dirty, (as you could see it whilst sitting on the toilet), shower door didn't close, you think it was going to fall off, rather dangerous if you ask me. There's a gap in the balcony doors, so constant draft through them, that's why the radiators are on full blast. Next person that goes in might find what I found in the bedroom floor, if you look for it, don't know how long it's been there. Hard bed and pillows, I've come home needing to book a massage.

The room was clean and tidy the bed was massive and comfortable, the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, food was excellent overall very impressed and I will stay again

The room was very small, the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and felt old, the room was a bit outdated and had damage to the furniture, and my check in experience was rather poor. Overall just a bad experience and below my expectations of a place I’d stayed once before.

The annex is a bit dated and tired but over all the place is pretty decent. The main building is gorgeous and the food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and great to talk too. Would stay again no question.

Heating wasn’t working, complained nothing done about it, TV in Bar wasn’t working

Close to the high street

Family room needed upgrade, leaking toilet and rain coming through light. Staff friendly and helpful, especially Nicola who loaned me her mug for the time there. Breakfast was good, did see difference in quality of chefs but overall still nice. Quiet hotel, hardly any use of bar or restaurant in evenings. Shut about 10pm and reception not manned 24hrs. Across road from train station and Lidl which was useful.

well first off never have i paid 125 quid a night for a hotel i wrongly assumed that was 75 quid each so expedia will not be getting used again but Hotel got message 2 days before you have been moved to the mansion house and upgraded wish i had bought a tent Terrible place No evening meals at a hotel which was one of the best in Elgin bar unbelievable Army staff playing snooker consuming their own drinks from boxes full of alcohol beautiful old building which i have stayed in before upon check in as we were moved from royal they didnt know how to process booking fee at this point if i had known it was 125 quid each i would have driven to Inverness never again Expedia

Located not far from the rail station, an old fashioned hotel ,very pleasant staff ,really comfortable bed ,tea ,coffee in the room ,excellent choice for breakfast ,and dinner menu ,free parking,I would stay here again

Comfortable hotel centrally located, my room was on the very top floor 3 flights of stairs was hard for me with a heart condition. Bed was fine but pillows very hard.

Location was good for me

Romm was very basic, run down and not really worth the £100 we paid, could do with a real refresh to bring it up to standard. Bed was comfy though
