A rugged and beautiful place. I stayed in the Callana Lodge with was tidy and provided for all my basic needs and conveniences. I would highly recommend the nightly feeding of the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby's behind the visitors centre, Acacia Ridge Trail (be sure to take advantage of the free drop off at the trail head in the morning by the local Ranger otherwise you begin the ridge trail from the Visitor Centre and the hike up the ridge is pretty rocky and steep - going up is much better from the other end.) and the loop tail that beings at Welcome Mine and passes through Stubbs Waterhole. The pub dinner meal was a very nice end to each day. I highly recommend a visit but advise that a 4x4 or high clearance car used to get to Arkaroola. There are many beautiful places to visit that are accessible only by fairly rough tracks. I'll be back!
