When I arrived at the Mantra Hotel on Sunday evening they were without power. Blackout since 3pm. Obviously this is beyond their control, however I would have expected there would be a back-up generator or contingency in these circumstances. The Ibis and other businesses in the area did have power. My accommodation was booked through your online site, however the Hotel was unable to validate the booking and I waited for nearly 1.5 hrs before I was offered a room. Had to walk to the 4th floor by torch light, there was no air conditioning and no lights. I was still charged the full-rate. My accommodation should have been subsidized. The room was pleasant and clean but I couldn't make a coffee, charge my phone and had to use the bathroom in complete darkness. Not really good enough.
