Breakfast freshly cooked pleasant location fairly expensive

Great hotel stayed many times over the past 4 years and it has never dropped its high standard.

We stayed here for one night, and never again! On the surface the hotel looks clean and modern. However, don't expect a good night's sleep. We had an air conditioning machine humming for most of the night which meant I could not sleep. The reception team said they couldn't move us as the other rooms had the same noise, which was apparently the water purifier and was only going to be noisy during 3-4am. This noise was continuous from 2am until 5:30! So clearly they tell you anything to fob you off. I spoke to the "manager" in the morning and asked about he refund. He agreed this was warranted and asked me to email the owner. Not heard anything back from them so will have to do a chargeback if I want to see any of my money back. Please don't waste your money staying here.

Lovely seaview the staff were lovely. Very clean but It is a bit tired as all hotels show original photos. I dont believe they should be able to do that. I would go back again if going to the cliffs pavilion as its very close.

Wifi was sketchy and was not able to complete my business task on my laptop.

Good choice if you need to go to Southend. Location is great. Friendly and professional staff. Small but nice bar. Recommended

Lovely room, nice and clean,comfortable

Shampoo and shower gels had run out. Bathroom flooded a bit as floor divider thing was a bit thin. One of the side lights by bed did not work. Was a lovely room. Great views.

There was not really a beach to view

Room very comfortable and was spotless. Staff very courteous nothing was too much. Will certainly be visiting again.

Everything was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious!! Would highly recommend.

I arrived at the hotel and found my room only to discover that the bedding had the most suspicious white stain on it (i think you know exactly what that is). I contacted the receptionist who initially told me there was nothing they can do but I then I was given a different room which was better until I realised that they had put me in a room with no internal lock on the door and the phone line was dead??? When I questioned this I was told it's okay because only people with keys can access the room!! As a single woman staying alone in a place run by mainly male staff in this day and age if they think that's acceptable then god knows what else they get away with. Absolutely dreadful. I didn't even feel comfortable staying the night and left.

Room was spotless, bed extremely comfortable, everything you could need in the room. Staff were lovely,friendly but professional. Food was delicious. Location is very good. Could not fault the service we received and will definitely book there again.

Shower didn’t work, congealed cleaning product in toilet. Room had slightly musty eggy smell. Not a luxury hotel by any standard.

This is a fantastic hotel in the centre of Southend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a 4 nights stay.We had a couple of issues but l must say the staff were fantastic and the issues were resolved quickly and professionally. If we come back to Southend we would stay at Seven Hotel again.
