Fabulous stay at the hotel. Charmane and the team made us so welcome. The restaurant served wonderful food. The rooms were clean and inviting. We couldn't have asked for more

Public rooms in hotel r good, well maintained but rooms r okish. Carpets need cleaning throughout, whole area behind reception needs some urgent maintenance, grubby, marks on walls, chipped paint work etc. Certainly not 4star standard.

A lovely setting just opposite the priory. Helpful staff. A comfortable room except that it was impossible to open the windows. The towel rack in the bathroom was switched on permanently (during the heatwave) and it meant you had to have the airconditioning on at all times. Not the most sustainable of options. Apart from that, a lovely place to stay in a charming village.

The hotel was lovely and staff very welcoming. We had a cozy room, which was exactly that, small and cozy but had lovely linen, air conditioning, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities and copious amounts of hot water. A nice addition was a small fridge. We didn’t plan to spent our days inside so it was perfect. It is a prefect base to explore the lovely town of Christchurch and local areas. There are beautiful old historic buildings to see along with a quay and art deco cinema in town, for those happy to walk a little further Hengisbury Head is about an hour on foot, The local ferry can take you across the river to Hengisbury or down to Mudeford.

Air con.was very good. Staff were very helpful including lending me a mains adaptor because the 2 pin plug on the bathroom mirror did not work.

Superb hotel, with excellent accommodation. Breakfasts and dinner were all divine, amongst the best either of us have had in hotels. And of course, we fully appreciated the air conditioning in the rooms as our stay coincided with the very hot weather this summer. Only slight negatives were that the shower temperatures wandered up and down randomly, rather than being stable, and that the restaurant was not air conditioned as far as we could tell. But these are minor gripes - the overall experience was excellent and we would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

The staff were wonderful and very friendly, couldn’t do enough to help you. The whole hotel was very clean and well maintained. Our room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and cookies on amenities tray with fresh milk in the in room fridge. Spotless bathroom with amenities. Air conditioning was a bonus in the summer heat. Lovely restaurant and bar area in the foyer and the freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. Conveniently located in the town centre but not a noisy location. Car parking available. When in Christchurch again won’t hesitate to book again.

We booked a cosy room which was very cosy with a decent sized bathroom. It was clean and had an iron and ironing board and Nespresso machine. Parking was across the road from the hotel which was in a quiet location but close to amenities. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open on Sunday night.

We had asked for a walk in shower and told we would get one but when we arrived were told one wasn't available. Consequently I struggled to get in the bath to shower, and get out again as I have arthritis. Also the sink plug wasn't draining very well so reported it to reception and they said maintenance would come and resolve it - they never arrived. In the end I unscrewed the plug and had to remove bits of plastic and god knows what myself. The sink was fine after my intervention!

An amazing hotel made even better by the 5 star staff. So helpful and friendly. We had breakfast and an evening meal and both were just perfect. Our room had lovely aircon, which was really appreciated. I would recommend the Kings Arms to anyone wanting to go somewhere for a treat.

Just stayed one night. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Nice touches were the tea/coffee/biscuits - and real milk in the fridge. I had a very large bathroom with a walk in shower. Had a quick look round Christchurch - plenty of things to see and do.. Definitely recommend.

Great location in central Christchurch. We had a lovely spacious room with views of the abbey and Norman house. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Dinner in 18 restaurant based in the hotel was good and a 30% discount for hotel guests made it a reasonable price. As many reviews have already said the breakfast is excellent, lots of choice, cooked to order and you get enough to not need lunch! Only minor niggles were with the room which needed more storage for clothes. Our superior room was plenty big enough to have had a chest of drawers, only toiletries provided were soap dispenser by wash basin and soap/shampoo dispenser above bath (which incidentally was placed at the wrong end of the bath for the shower). We did mention these issues to staff at check out so hopefully they will be corrected. All in all we did enjoy our stay in Christchurch at the King’s Arms and would stay their again.

Excellent location right opposite the castle. Very comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good food at the 18 restaurant with a 30 per cent discount for hotel guests. Would definitely return in the future.
