Super friendly, super clean, super stay

It is what it says on the tin! A room in an old pub. Was clean and tidy but the shower in our room leaked. The breakfast was just toast and cereal and quite meagre, items ran out and were not replenished. Easy to walk into Lewes Town. Parking is in the pay and display car park over the road.

Very cheap price for two people including continental breakfast so can't really complain!

Friendly staff. Simple accommodations.

Good location and clean. Breakfast is basic. Very much rooms above a pub, noise from punters downstairs and morning deliveries.

Hotel needs some significant upgrades. Shower in my room was hanging off the wall. Told the staff at the reception/bar but didn't note any degree of ownership or concern.

All was fine for a stop over. Clean, easy parking, straight forward breakfast included, comfortable bed, good shower.

Overnight stay straight from the France ferry. Have to be in by 11pm which as we had delay getting off the boat we called to say we were on our way. Were told "we shut at 11pm!" but, we made it in time anyway.

Great value for money

Staff friendly and welcoming. Very noisy the first night (sunday) most of the noise came from private property above our room and then noise again from about 6am. Second night much quietier. Bedding and towels clean. Rooms are very run down. Did not use kettle and full limescale and dirty.

Lovely old pub, nice friendly staff. We booked the large double which was extremely comfortable, great pillows. The only let down was the cold, it was freezing. Heating wasn't working. This wouldn't put me off staying again, as it's a really nice place

Good location in Lewes, we was unable to hear the pub noise from the room. Check in was quick and straight forward

Lovely pub, nice room and very friendly staff

Good location for us half a hour from the ferry port. Room size ok for us. Overall the room was a bit tired and could benefit from an update. The items we noted were:- One failed and one failing light bulb on the main light made the room a bit dim. Wobbly toilet seat Plug in the washbasin was not attached and was difficult to use. Beside tables were rickety and needed attention. Missing top on the coffee machine water container makes it is unhygienic and put us off using it. Staff could have been more cheerful, not one smile. We are highlighting these issues because we are not responsible for any of these problems, damage or defects.

Near to Lewes Town centre. Obviously, it,s a pub so quite noisy until it closes at 11.pm
