The room was generally okay, although it felt a little old. Please be aware that the room does not provide basic amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, etc., so you may need to purchase these yourself.
That being said, there were a few issues during my stay that made me feel quite uncomfortable:
- Water leakage: When I returned to the room on a rainy day, I noticed a significant amount of water around the window. I’m not sure whether this was an isolated incident, but it was definitely concerning and something the hotel should look into.
- Fire alarm incident: This was by far the most serious issue for me. On the night of the 21st and early morning of the 22nd, someone was apparently smoking, which triggered the fire alarm. The alarm continued ringing throughout the entire building for more than 30 minutes. What concerned me even more was that the management team apparently said they were still “Looking for the password” to deal with the alarm.
Having a fire alarm continuously ringing for over 30 minutes in the middle of the night was extremely stressful. I was unable to sleep for the rest of the night. I understand that unexpected situations can happen, but I would have expected the management team to respond much more promptly and professionally, especially when the situation involved the entire building and a potential fire safety issue.
Overall, the room itself was okay, but the water leakage and especially the way the fire alarm situation was handled significantly affected my experience and comfort during the stay.
