Beautiful hotel with gerat air-conditioning in the middle of a heatwave. Beautiful and romantic rooms and gardens. Close to the main areas and the theatre.

My cousin and I had a lovely stay at Hotel Du Van Stratford Upon Avon. A particular call out to the associates in concierge and check in / check out - they were the most friendly and helpful hotel / resort staff I have experienced, and I have done some extensive travel. I was also very happy with the cleanliness of my room and hotel. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were also very friendly and helpful. I do think the food could have been a bit better - more choices and pastries were not fresh. Overall, a really wonderful stay that I would definitely repeat.

On a tour of the Cotswolds and wanted one night in Stratford. Enjoyed the balcony for drinks, great breakfast and easy parking for the night. Easy access to the shops and restaurants.

Spent 3 days here all good nice drinks in the courtyard, room nice air con was just about ok but it was 35 `outside would stay again for a treat

The room was spacious and very comfortable and the air-conditioning was very welcome. We had a good dinner in the restaurant with an excellent bottle of wine. My only gripe would be about the bathroom. The lighting was so dim that it was hard to see to shave. The shower was not very good. There was only a rainfall outlet, not a hand-held unit, and only a single ring of nozzles worked. The temperature control was annoying, possibly a safety issue - a movement of about 1mm in either direction led to the water either being freezing cold or boiling hot.

While the staff is friendly and the location is fantastic, the hotel is severely overpriced. Our room was dirty, and there was absolutely no view. You're paying for the location, but the lack of cleanliness makes it not worth the money.

Amazing hotel with great A/C during the heat wave. My wife and I checked in early and got met by very friendly staff who told us about the hotel and showed us to the lift and gave us directions to our room. We went out into the town for lunch and returned for cocktails before dinner. The breakfast was very good and again the staff very friendly and chatty. We will be back 😊

Lovely hotel, perfect location and extra bonus points for being so good to our dog Merley. Welcoming dog bed, bowl and treats, always make any place we stay extra special. We can't wait to be back. It would be lovely if the hotel had a free on-site parking.

Great staff and rooms

When we checked in, we were told we had “the best room in the hotel.” 🙄 A bit overstated. We were told we were on an upper floor (2) facing the street. We always request this, but never expect it. After checking floors 2 & 3, our room was on the first floor facing a parking lot/police station, with a lovely balcony. I returned to the front desk just to make sure we had the correct room. I think the gal at registration thought we were unhappy with our room. I tried to explain the room was lovely, but not as described and wanted to make sure we had the correct room. Another gal at registration said she could down grade our room if we wanted to face the street. At that point I gave up and she corrected the card to show we were on the first floor. Also the handle on the front door was about to fall off. On the upside, Mary at breakfast was exceptional. She remembered our breakfast order and was very sweet. The hot breakfast was top shelf.

Our stay at Hotel du Vin was lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. Very tastefully decorated. Great central location for touring Stratford. All the main attractions were within. Walking distance. Food was nicely presented. Good breakfast we had dinner there twice… Staff were very pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a fabulous 2 night stay in a balcony room for our anniversary. The room was lovely as was the balcony, especially on the hottest day of the year! The hotels location was perfect, just minutes from bars and restaurants yet it was peaceful and quiet when sat in the outside terrace. Breakfast was delicious, the eggs Benedict was just what we fancied. It was so good we had it both mornings. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Most unfriendly check-in at a hotel for some years. Food good and liked the bar area.

This was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences ever - the room was wonderful, the staff incredible - friendly and helpful, and the food excellent. Will be back next year - or later this year
