Room temperature control was questionable. Coffee machine in the lobby never returned the change as posted and systematically overcharged. Expedia site does not list proper front desk hours, breakfast price, etc. and needs an update!

Reasonably prices hotel about a mile from Amboise centre. Good for a night or two stay. The rooms are functional and clean. They serve breakfast and there are a couple of vending machines. Parking is safe and secure.

This is a great value hotel that I stayed at with my family during our drive back to the UK from the south of France. The hotel itself is located at 25 minute walk from the centre of Amboise: we walked in and had a lovely meal and walk around the town, which is very beautiful. We had four bicycles attached to our car and had some concerns about security during our holiday, but the parking at this hotel is very secure so there were no problems leaving our bikes locked to the car. Our room had a great view of the Château, which was a nice surprise. My only criticism is that for breakfast the plates provided are extremely small. It would be nice to have larger plates! I would definitely stay here again.

A budget hotel on the outskirts of historic Amboise. Spent one night there on our way to the sea coast; very happy.

For the price (although lobby smelled of smoke) this was a great place to stay. A lovely walk to the town of Amboise with lots of sights and restaurants to enjoy.

Booked through Expedia and paid upfront, showed receipt on arrival but staff insisted that we needed to put a credit card on file and they would ‘hold’ the full amount again, which we did. A few days later the full payment came out of the credit card again, spoke to Expedia who said they couldn’t understand the people on reception but would try to look into it - even after sending both sets of receipts. Still haven’t got a refund for the overpayment and not sure I will. As a side note, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again anyway. We’ve stayed at plenty of Ibis, this is without a doubt the worst. Shower directly in the room with a half glass door separating it from the bedroom, awful damp smell… on the plus side the surrounding area is lovely.

good location n price

Room was comfy enough to sleep overnight to get ready for next day. Has everything you need and hot shower was working well with good water pressure. The toilet feels like the one you use in airplane. Otherwise good location and free parking was great :)

A bit out the way, which was not a problem for us. No shops or restaurants nearby, or even close. No access to the microwave in the lobby, it was off limits. Like all Ibis budget rooms, space is very limited. There are a few hooks on the wall and no space to open a case, without putting it on the bed. It was very quiet. Our room had a good view over the town and the Amboise Royale Chateau.

Right next door to Novatel which has a nice view for wine and a bike shed.

Quiet out of the way location, but easy drive into the centre. You definitely need a car here, but it's secure and quiet. It's nothing fancy, but a good clean, comfortable budget choice.

The room was extremely small for 3 people, there was no separate bathroom area, the shower door opened right into the room, so when stepping in and out of shower, one did not get much privacy. Customer service at the reception was nice, the hotel itself was quite far away from the old town

Bed hard, pillows terrible

This is a very basic hotel. It serves the purpose of sleeping and having a good breakfast. Parking is easy and the location is excellent.

Helpful staff, nice room for family of three, very quiet.

The service was not very good og helpful. In the end she phoned for some take away as my French is not up to it. The room was very barren. On our second day it was full of small flies. The hotel was far from centre of town without really indicating this on the webside. We came by train and the walk was loooong. the breakfast was quite good.

Good location for visiting Amboise interest areas. Door of toilets did not close although a maintenance was asked. Room door found out open when we were back the second day
