I didnt like the facial recognition stuff

I book a room with twin bed ocean view. They put in couple bed, on first floor right by the side of a noise place called “ Mercado dos peixes “ the internet in room didn’t work. They said someone was coming to fix it and the person never came back. We called and even went to talk someone front desk. But the person said there was no more people working to check the Internet. In top of that they foi dot change us to a different room. We missed a day of work without internet and we explained how important we needed internet in room for work. They didn’t do nothing about it. Then, finally changed us to a different room. Where internet works but the door wasn’t closing. And we could hear even more noise from outside. They just put us to level 3. No difference betsides rhe internet. I don’t recommend.

Breakfast was subpar ( juice tasted like water, food was eatable. Long walk to Beira mar. When I was there in March was hot as hell ( meaning: I was drenched in sweat). Beautiful view, but noisy outside from the fish market

Property is nicely located. However, the hotel is dated and the employees are extremely rude and careless. If you are lucky enough to get a room, high floor, facing Iracema beach you are good to to. Else, you will face the "favela" and port of Mucuripe.. Just beware of what you are getting into. Overall, very disappointed!!

NIGHMARE CHECK-IN: Having stayed in 2007 for 45 days at Iate Plaza Hotel, we returned for 16 days. Upon check-in on Feb 17 at 11:50PM Wesley Nascimento (front-desk night auditor/clerk) irresponsibly issued several keys of defective rooms that were terribly maintained. In one of rooms was already occupied by another guess. Yes, this irresponsible employee gave me the key to a room that was occupied by a NAKED MEN who was passed out (perhaps drunk) in a couch as soon as we entered the unit well passed midnight. The standard of care/occupancy of some units made our entire stay very stressful). For the first week we were UNWELCOME and discriminated by the entire staff (gossipers who who were too busy to do their work) . I took the time to document every occurrence with videos and photos in case they turned against my wife and I which they actually did. Here's a laundry list of blatant defects: broken door knobs, rusted and noisy hinges, gaps between the front door of the units and the doorjamb with a space enough for someone to easily pry open the door and enter the room; dirty towels with lipstick stains, broken bathroom faucet handles. We changed rooms 4 times. The ENTIRE hotel staff (including the "security", doorman and restaurant servants) were confrontational and made us a feel threatened when they learned that I would dispute the charges with AMEX and report their horrible conduct to the administration which I did in a meeting who acknowledged their wrongdoing.

This property was not what was shown in the pictures. The property was in bad condition, next to a fish market. Very expensive and creepy. No security either

Iate Plaza is a great hotel and very well located!

This hotel has the best beach and port view in Fortaleza.

Pool very nice Confortable Location is ok but not very excelent

Terrível. Fiquei no quarto mais caro. Mal localizado, já no final da orla. Colchão terrivelmente velho. Café da manhã fraquíssimo, sem opções sem lactose ou açúcar, talheres, pratos e copos IMUNDOS, com restos de comida visíveis. Poucos elevadores e lentos. Piscina gelada. Ofurô tem que pedir/adivinhar que um funcionário pode ligar a água quente. Sauna suja demais e só a partir de 17h.

A experiência foi razoável porque muitos dos serviços que dizem que hotel pode oferecer nâo pude comprovar. Por exemplo: a sauna esteve quebrada o tempo todo; as informacões opcionais sobre passeios não foram apresentadas; havia pouco papel higiênico para um quarto familiar e ainda com um bêbê; pouca água no frigobar e as opções existentes eram mais com gás o que nâo agrada o paladar da maioria. Destaque para o excelente café da manhã diversificado e servido em um ambiente de bela paisagem.

O local está bastante degradado, elevadores sem funcionar, banheiros velhos e com mofo, roupa de cama desgastada e de tamanho menor que a cama.

No geral, tive uma boa experiência. As instalações são cuidadas, o café da manhã é delicioso e variado, e o grande destaque da estadia foi a vista maravilhosa da acomodação para a praia — realmente encantadora. Um ponto negativo foi o atraso no check-in: precisei aguardar além do horário previsto para entrar no quarto, o que causou um certo desconforto. Apesar disso, a qualidade do espaço e a localização acabaram compensando. Com algumas melhorias na organização da recepção, a experiência poderia ser ainda melhor. No mais, recomendo para quem busca conforto e uma bela vista do mar.
