Worst hotel ever stayed in. No staff present on check in so it took 20 mins before found member of staff to check in. Room with no windows are tiny and the air conditioning is controlled at reception not in the room. It was a sweat box with no windows and no space. I would advise you spend the extra money and get nicer hotel.

Simple room, on a busy road with local shops. Near the train staition and town centre.

Tiniest room that will cause clostraphopia to anyone who doesn't even have it.

Clean place, easy to get to from train station.

Located within a few minutes walk of the town centre and train station, and across the road from a small parade of shops including several restaurants and take away outlets and a selection of convenience stores. On several visits my room has always been clean comfortable and well maintained and all the staff have been courteous friendly and professional and have good local knowledge of the area. Excellent value would recommend without hesitation

Clean rom and great air-conditioner. Staff are friendly, and the location is a 10-min walk from Reading station. Overall its a great stay.

Staff friendly and helpful and room was exactly as advertised

Great experience staff helpful and friendly room clean and tidy. Had a problem with the toilet which kept filling with water the staff immediately attempted a fix that didn't work and was offered a change of room when I reported it was still not working which I accepted. My third stay in the last few months and always found the staff very helpful and the room ready and clean and comfortable

Air conditioning unit in the room said "clean filter" and, boy, they needed to. The air inlet was caked in dust. The air conditioning unit itself vibrated and rattled so loudly that I had to turn it off or I wouldn't have got any sleep. But then it was stuffy. If you offer rooms without windows, the ventilation has to work properly. In this case it did work, it just made a deafening noise. The television was also faulty when I arrived although the receptionist managed to with it and get it to work. Worst mattress I've ever slept on. I still have backache. There's a difference between 'no frills' and outright horrible. This hotel isn't getting it right.

The bathroom tap had a problem but they immediately upgraded us to a different room without extra fees Nice staff and environment. Very budget friendly.

Uncomfortable beds

Very basic budget hotel. Decent price. Soundproofing was non--existent, I brought earplugs and definitely needed them. You can literally hear people walking in the room next to you. I would bring an eyemask too, if you're sensitive to light. There's a green light near the bathroom and entrance that can be annoying. Cleanliness was fine, not amazing but this is a budget hotel. Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. Facilities limited, drinks available from vending machine, and hairdryer available on request.

The staff and location are excellent. However the room was dirty, with both air conditioning and extractor fan broken.

Hotel was in a good location, however very limited parking. The staff were lovely and polite however the room was tiny, no amenities, and not very clean, floor was dusty, wrappers on the floor, mould in the windowsill and shower and cobwebs in all corners. Paid an extra £9 for a room with a window but it was frosted, cracked and didn’t open at all. Smelt very strongly of smoke and there was a cigarette butt in the sink plug hole which made the smell worse whenever you ran the tap. The front door didn’t seem to get locked overnight so anyone could just come in. The shower + toilet room didn’t have much privacy as it was frosted glass within touching distance of the bed, with a big hole for a handle in the door and gaps down the side so you could see straight in, and the extractor fan didn’t work. Will not be back

I stayed with my brother for two nights, the staff were super helpful and SO friendly! Everyone we met took an interest in our day, they answered all of our questions and helped us with zero hesitation when we needed more supplies for the room. The room was perfectly clean, very small but cozy, minimal storage but ideal for a few days / solo or couple travellers. Parking was an extra £10 a day, but absolutely worth it because it felt safer than roadside parking / parking a while away! The only downfall was that the room didn't have any windows! The A/C worked just fine, but not having any daylight made it feel much later than it was & in turn made us feel a bit lethargic. Not so much something for the hotel to change, but more for visitors to be mindful of! Hotel aside, there's an AMAZING pub across the road! It's so fairly priced and the food is INCREDIBLE. It's a combination of Malaysian, Thai and English food. It's worth staying just for that 😋 All in all, for the price I paid I can't fault it and that's mostly down to the staff. I'd definitely stay again. Thank you to the hotel team :)))

Excellent location , competent friendly staff

Be aware of add on prices being "Easy", there half hour before check-in so asked to leave luggage was £5 a bag, room was ready but still charged £10 to go in there. Staff were nice and helpful. No tea and coffee in room but in reception was a machine £2.50 for hot drinks. Had a water machine to fill your bottles which was free or sold bottles of water. Room was clean, shower was good, only had one bath towel and one hand towel between the two of us. If u are bigger than a child the room was so tiny, i'm not a big lady but I needed to side shuffle around the bed. Considering we were on the main road, room was reasonably quiet. Air con was great. Bed was very firm, ok if u like that but i'm a delicate princess so not into hard mattresses, thats just personal choice. If u just need a cheap place to get your head down for the night then perfect, if u are going to party or need to get ready for fun this is not the place can barely get your bags in.
