Terrible night. I managed to sleep for about ten minutes. The condition of the room was awful: the wallpaper was peeling off, the walls and ceiling were dirty, the shower was leaking, and the drain was blocked. There was absolutely no soundproofing from the windows, despite the hotel being on a high street. People outside were talking loudly beneath the windows throughout the night. The bed was dreadful — sleeping in my car would probably have been more comfortable. The bedding smelled of stale sweat, although the pillowcases did at least appear to have been washed. The only positive was the air conditioning. There is parking as well, but it is charged separately. In total, the room and parking cost £90. Honestly, it felt like a very bad joke.

Check in guy was really helpful and informative as my first time here. Room was small but it was only for a nights stop en route. Shower was great.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint when it came to comfort. The best aspects were the cleanliness and the friendly behavior of the staff. When I requested an iron and ironing board, they were provided within seconds. The check-in and check-out processes were also very easy and quick.

Having just returned from Marrakech and just needing a good nights sleep before work the next day, I was astounded to find when I asked for a ground floor room because I was (am) disabled that I could not have one because they were fully booked. When I asked if everyone who had booked and been allocated a ground floor room had arrived, I was told they hadn't but that allocated rooms could not be changed without good reason, When I pointed out, again, that I was disabled and could not climb the stair to the top of the property to my allocated room (206); I was told that allocation was my fault, because I had made no mention at the tie of booking of my disability and, even when I highlighted that there was no facility to make such a mention; I was told it was my fault and that if I did not like it, I could leave but would not be receiving any refund. Shockingly bad service from a young man who deserves not to be in that job; or any job.

Sheets were clean but that seemed to be about it. Stains on the wall, mould around windows and bathroom. I made the mistake of checking under the bed before I left and found a gross mess that can't have been properly cleaned ever. Tiny rooms but to be expected for price but basically just a bed and shower and no space to move. Okay as a single person who can deal with some grime but can't say I can encourage anyone to stay there.

Room was small but good enough for short stay

Bed very hard and tv not positioned well for room or viewing. The room is very small for tall person. - but ok as said, ie clean and tidy. It’s a shame you don’t get a coffee vouchers or bottled water for stay. Staff very friendly and engaging with any issues. Fixed shower for example very quickly.

Very simple room, just in case of emergency.

Nice and cozy place to stay

For a solo traveller, if you need a clean and safe place to stay overnight, this place is sufficient. Room is tiny and one person could barely turn around. Bathroom and ac will be the amenities provided. Checkout was 10am so I barely could sleep in, also I heard clearly and constantly that neighbours’ doors were closed. Parking is at the back and a short walk to Thames river and train station. Staffs were friendly. Anyway you paid for what you got.

Was for one night for few sleep before heading of traveling so was cheap clean and near to pick up point for airport shuttle

Bathroom door made a horrible sound and television could not be watched from the bed

Staff very friendly and efficient. Sink was blocked, soap dispenser in shower was empty. No kettle in the room and although there was free drinking water and free hot drinks that was all the way down in reception. I knew I was opting for a stripped down version of a hotel room but have stayed in lots of other hotels that offer more for the same price.

Enjoyed the stay. Ideal for a one night stay.

Cheap and effective

Did not drive . But there is parking at the side of the Hotel Hotel and staff was great Hotel value for money Wide range of shops across the road. Reading train station close by. An bus stops outside the hotel. Will stay again

No kettle or tea in the room, no place to put stuff like a table

Room was excellent, very welcoming staff, the location is good near to shopps, near train station and centre.

If you just need a rood over your head for a night or two, this will be enough.
