Exactly what you need. Unfortunately a missing blind in the room. Everything else you would want was there. Excellent spacious room and good facilities. Great location.

We had an overall good stay at Generaator Sofia Hotel. It was exactly as advertised and sufficient for a couple nights stay. The beds were small but comfortable, and the shower door leaks into the room (be careful not to have your bags by the shower door) but we put towels down and there is a sign. Staff were friendly and the check in instructions in the evening were very easy to follow. Was a great trip in Sofia.

The front desk was nice. Bathroom was not ideal because shower made the toilet wet and it became slippery. Also a bit out dated. Thought it was nice for Bulgaria until I spent 3 nights at a hotel closer to city center for a cheaper price. Very prompt with move out time. got to check in a little early which was nice. Works but would not stay again. Close to everything with a 20 minute walk to the main shopping street, and public transit stop right outside. Just felt a little dirty and outdated. staff was very friendly though, but not 24 hour staff on duty. they also came to clean the room when I did not request it and wish I knew because i left valuables out. They were still there when I got back but still I didnt like it because it didnt need to be cleaned.

Clean and practical, good value for money. Complicated check in and tv set up.

It was ok and happy with it

Quiet yet close to most of the attractions. Also easy access to bus central station to Plovdiv and central train station to catch a night train from Sofia to Istanbul. Across the road there is a local supermarket to buy budget hot meal and fresh food. Just perfect for all my needs.

You get what you pay for. Super central, has everything in it but it’s a rundown hotel. I stayed for 2 nights and while it wasn’t too bad, it wasn’t great either. The reception and the hotel were very communicative and responsive. The walls were so thin that one night I was trying to snooze, I could hear the people talking outside, it’s as if we were in the same room. I didn’t like that the bathroom was motion-sensored - how many times the lights have turned off just because I wasn’t doing anything apart from relieving myself (pardon me). All in all, an okay stay. As I’ve said, you get what you pay for.

Check in was ok. But you have to see the you tube. It’s complicated. I figured it out but …..

It felt dusty, had a smell. I could hardly sleep. The WiFi was spotty for work.

Beautiful clean and the staff are very friendly highly recommend if your travelling to Sofia to stay here. Location is amazing extremely clean and the most beautiful rooms

For the price I expect basic. I did not expect a foul smell on the bathroom, and no staff to notify given reception hours are only 10-6. I did not expect no shower gel. Oddly a kettle was provided and mugs but no spoons. Considerations: no shower gel, no tea and coffee. Loud street noise and my room also backed onto a courtyard which has loud noise from people and also the way the rain hit the surfaces was very loud so that woke me up too.

Cleanliness: Overall hygiene and maintenance of the space. 3. Comfort: Quality of beds, furniture, and general comfort. 4. Facilities: Availability and condition of amenities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and kitchen appliances. 5. Safety and Security: Measures in place to ensure guest safety, such as secure locks and well-lit areas. 6. Customer Service: Responsiveness and helpfulness of the staff. 7. Value for Money: Comparison of the cost against the quality and features provided. 8. Noise Levels: Assessment of how quiet or noisy the accommodation is. 9. Accessibility: Ease of access for guests with disabilities or mobility issues. 10. Aesthetic Appeal: Visual appeal and ambiance of the accommodation. I would score this accommodation as an 8/10 with points lost of the following: Comfort - 0.5 - the bed was not the most comfortable. Facilities - 0.5 - more appliances are always practical. Accessibility - 0.5 - not wheelchair or stroller accessible Aesthetic appeal - 0.5 - it's not the most aesthetically pleasing place. Every other point got the maximum score.

Had to stay somewhere, as the plane was late. This was a good choice. They provide access code for late arrivals. All convenient and secure.

I needed to make a reservation for one night at very short notice and ended up staying at the Generaator. It turned out to be a lucky find. The immediate surroundings of the hotel were not great, but once inside everything was fresh and bright.The room was very clean and seemed to have been redecorated fairly recently. One of the other things I appreciated was the shower having a proper little wall at the base to prevent water from filling the rest of the bathroom. I found the bed comfortable as I prefer a firm matress. It was also great to have a smart TV that allowed me to watch one of the 24 hour news channels on YouTube. I would also like to thank the very helpful and welcoming member of staff who dealt with me and allowed me to check in earlier and helped me with a note to explain I needed to change a ticket. Personally I think this would be a particularly good place to stay if you had a flight, train or bus the next day. It is close enough to the main station and central bus station and right next to a convenient metro stop. Equally, it would also provide a convenient base in the centre of Sofia for a longer visit.
