The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly. It was a truly memorable experience, and I'll definitely stay at Lelewatu again when I return to Sumba. The service is top-notch 👍🏻

Unfortunately Lelewatu did not live up to our expectations, mainly due to communication issues with the staff. While being very kind, despite their best efforts I felt a general lack of hospitality standards that far less pricy hotels manage to deliver. Many reviews here refer to communication issues with the staff, I attributed that to their lack of English but since I speak Indonesian, I can confirm it was not the language but rather just lack of training. Food was fine, not great but it was okay. The rooms and location have a lot of potential. At the current service level, a stay should not be charged more than 3 million per night. For 6 million, there are a lot better options in Sumba and other parts of Indonesia. The owners should ask themselves if they want to invest and make this place live up to its potential, which should start with hiring an experienced manager with a luxury hotel management background to train the staff. Not recommended and would not stay again.

It was a quiet and cosy villa with very warm staff who made our stay very special. Shout out to Jefry at Front Desk.

Beautiful, enjoyable and nice service. We got private butler that serving us during our stay. Recommended for quiet and romantic holiday.

The hotels, villas, resorts are good, suitable for families and honeymoons. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the environment is safe.

Pengalaman yang menyenangkan bisa menginap 3 hari 2 malam di Lelewatu. Para staff sangat helpful dan ramah, fasilitas hotel pun lengkap dengan kamar yang luas, bersih, dan pemandangan yang luar biasa. Lelewatu memberikan kami experience tak terlupakan saat mengunjungi Sumba. Jelas akan kembali menginap di sini lagi jika berkesempatan ke Sumba.

Very slow service, I waited in the parking lot for up to 1 hour just to wait to be picked up in the lobby for unclear reasons (he said asphalt, even though there was no asphalt at all) the view provided did not match the application, I ordered a beach front view but the view was given in front of a dead tree. Bad hotel maintenance, dead water. Lights off. The pool water is cloudy, mossy. What a pity. Hopefully improving the quality from all aspects with the price of a 5 star hotel does not match reality. Bad.

We made a reservation on the same day and the Lelewatu team was able to quickly set up the villa. The villa turns out provided is a villa that is usually used by important guests. Overall the atmosphere in the villa is very satisfying. The butlers who were there were always on the alert. Unfortunately during the pandemic the occupancy rate was greatly reduced and even when we stayed overnight. We were the only ones staying. Highly recommended for a vacation with family and partner.

Unforgettable experience! The people here are friendly, and very helpful. The hotel also offers tours to explore Sumba at a price which in my opinion is still okay. Thank you very much lelewatu🙏🏻
