The desciption said 3 bathrooms. It actually was 1.5 bath; it only has one shower. However, the shower was large and great water pressure.

We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). Overall good experience. Owner said he was going to replace hot water appliances.

Great place to spend some time with family. Apartment was clean upon arrival and staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice apartment within walking distance to the central tourist zone of Enseneda where all the main clubs and bars are at. The apartment is also a 25 minute drive to wine country (Valle de Guadalupe). The area is also safe.

El Refugio made our trip to Ensenada. Upon arrival we were met by Rigo who promptly provided keys and showed us around the unit. The location was great and walking distance to all that downtown has to offer (1st street, fish market, restaurants, marina). Also a short 40min drive to Valle de Guadalupe/wine country. Price was definitely high compared to other options, but you’re also not getting a 2 bedroom apartment, gated/private parking, and full kitchen with those. Great stay.

Easy to get to. Access kind of tricky. Property really nice with a nice view. There is no front desk or office so paying at the property took forever since the terminal wasn’t working. Had to go to the bank to pay in cash with the risk of having the card blocked because of so many attempts to pay. Advertised with washer and drier but no laundry detergent. Overall it was a nice stay.

Had a great time at El Refugio, definitely planning on booking there again. Total privacy and the decor was superb.

We loved the area of the property very close to the strip restaurants and the wine route the property was beautiful, had all amenities and was a gated complex.

Lots of room, nice view & great location. The property manger was in communication too.

We arrived for the Baja 400 and loved it. There was 2 private parking spaces with a gated entrance. So everything was safe. My only concern was that since my wife was in a cast it was a bit troublesome to get up the stairs but we managed. We will be staying here for additional Baja Races. Worth every penny

You could get way better deals going directly to any other place

It is a beautiful apartment. Four of us stayed and it was very spacious. It had everything we needed and the location was great. We would definitely stay again.

Luis, the guy that is on site and takes care of the condos is amazing, very helpful. Everything you could possibly need is provided. From wine glasses and dishes to laundry detergent.

This was our first time staying at El Refugió and our expectations were definitely exceeded. It’s really modern and clean with a great view. It’s gated and our carport was directly under our apartment. Luis, who is on site was an amazing host. He’s super friendly, attentive and was always available to us. We had such a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay again.

The place is brand new, 10 minute walk from the happening places, $3 Ubers for far places. Luis the rep is on site, he was attentive, but really no issues to report. Great spot
