Very comfortable bed and room was spacious. Good amenities. Staff extremely friendly. Good was locally sourced and very good.

The room and venue were comfortable and clean. Service excellent. Full English breakfast was very good, as were our evening meals. We’d be happy to return in the future.

Comfortable clean room. Lovely dinner at a reasonable cost, but had to wait a long time for order to be taken and food served. As we were in no hurry, it didn't matter but, had I been starving it would have been annoying. I would certainly stay here again

Unfortunately, there were flies in the Bedroom & Restaurant, and you had to continually battle to keep the flies off the food & drinks. Raised it with a member of staff who said there was nothing they could do, it was just the season. Suggest management need to take the problem seriously, and find the source.

Lovely country pub with accommodation. Room was very comfortable and clean with good quality linen. Dinner was well priced with large servings. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with good quality ingredients. Only criticism is that there were no breakfast options for children. Perhaps some cereal on offer would go along way for kids or even just a simple boiled egg with soldiers. Thanks for a lovely safe stay!

Very friendly staff, very busy, could have done with another member of staff as they seemed a bit overstretched. Lovely location, nice & quiet. Good menu & food, nice atmosphere. Very comfortable bed. Would happily return & recommend.

The room was huge and bed very comfortable, and the pub itself had great food. Really nice breakfast too. You can go for nice walks from the door too.

What a truly magnificent breakfast - we didn't need to eat a thing until evening! We chose The Bird in Hand as a convenient place for an overnight stay and would gladly stay again

Not really set up for business. Can't get a vat receipt when booking via Hotels.com but apart from that it's good for a one night stop over

Lovely rooms and excellent service

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is absolutely amazing. Extremely good and lots of it. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Couldn't fault it at all.
