The hotel is very clean and the service is friendly, check in and check out are easy and strategically located close to the city center, easy access.

The room is spacious and clean, the location is also close to restaurants and malls.

Some rooms are not as clean as others

I had small con roaches my first night but was accommodated to move to a cleaner room. Third floor might be better in general compared to second floor. 2nd floor hallway smells like smoke

This was my first time staying here. Early check-in was quite strict... the deposit had to be cash. The rules were all a bit rigid, in my opinion. There were fees. Other hotels usually offer free early check-in when upgrading their room. Less than 40 minutes early check-in costs 300,000 Rupiah.

For that price, there are many better hotels. This hotel is terrible. I asked for a hairdryer four times over three days and they wouldn't give it to me. The bathroom was awful. The service was terrible. Everyone should be aware of this when booking a room here. I booked room 304 from January 26-29. The manager should review this.

For this budget really worth the price. The hotel location really accessible nearby KRL & MRT station. I got the upgrade and had bathtub in it, so happy. Little advice to clean the carpet in the hallway bcs it causes an unpleasant odor or at least add more air freshener. The toilet also need more attention to be repaired.

I haven't tried the swimming pool yet.. I'm in a bit of a hurry to get back to Jakarta.. but the room is spacious for a comfortable rest.

It all started with my husband, who often holds meetings at this hotel, so I often stay here. The hotel is homey and very comfortable. It's close to Sarinah, Monas, and the Hotel Indonesia roundabout. If you're looking for food, you can just walk to Sabang. The location is very strategic. I've never regretted staying here.

The hotel staff is very friendly, the service is good, the hot water is working, the amenities are complete. The AC is cold. The TV is good.

I gave 1 star because I rented this room for the New Year's party package but it didn't meet my expectations. First, about the door prize where we were given a door prize coupon, finally I went down at 23.50 or 10 minutes to 12 midnight, but suddenly the door prize was changed to a game which I wasn't informed about, even though I was waiting for the door prize. Okay, it was changed, but the funny thing is that other prizes were also given to family/friends who won the scooter because I saw them in a photo together outside that night. I want to complain but it's not nice, the father who won was already happy, but why were other prizes like tumblers given to them, I still wanted the door prize. Then secondly, the food on New Year's Eve was announced from 6 PM until the end of the New Year, so I went down at 9:30 PM when I went down the food was already mostly finished, so I asked the waiter and he said to wait for refills, I waited a few minutes and there were no refills, when I took the food, it was refilled but only a few pieces of chicken and watermelon, but fruit, cake, even drinks were not refilled. At breakfast, the food was also limited in variety, there wasn't even a cake for dessert. Last year at another hotel, the New Year's food had many variations and was refilled continuously until 11 PM, even if guests added more it was no problem, the breakfast was even more plentiful. The advantages of this hotel are only the friendly staff and strategic location, my advice if you are not ready to hold a New Year's event, it's better not to do it.

Actually, the hotel is good, the downside is that the bathroom gets really muddy easily, so it's uncomfortable because I'm afraid of slipping. Everything else is good, the downside is that the bathroom water stagnates.

Strategic location and easy access

The superior room 501 is quite large, the AC is cold, there is no cigarette smoke smell, there is a bathtub, a cold refrigerator, but the toilet seat is positioned too high and the water comes out too fast, making it uncomfortable. The concierge is friendly. Recommended if you want to stay for a short period and only to sleep.

The Grand Cemara Menteng Jakarta Hotel is located quite close to the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout. The prices are affordable, the staff is friendly, and the service is quite fast. There's also a Japanese restaurant next door, serving dim sum, and more.
