We spent 3 days in Barcelona the Hotel California. It was a little hard to locate at first but we found it was so convenient to the Ramblas, the Boqueria, even the metro. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very helpful and personable. We are going back again this year and bringing friends and family.

We had a very nice stay. Hotel is well located and nicely modern and clean. Breakfast is excellent.

The room was very clean, prime location in the heart of the city. Easy access to everything and the staff was great. It’s the place to go see for old Barcelona. Would recommend.

Room was clean and nice. It was in a corner in front of a bar and it was noisy the second night we were there.

Elisia william and Sebastian at front desk gave so much superb advice Alway smile even when busy Eileen running breakfast buffet served sucha large variety of healthy food. Spanish lunch and dinner unhealthy at times

Didn’t realize entrance was on in an alley off the Plaça Real. Taxi could only get us so close. Breakfast was good. Room smaller than expected. Close to shopping.

Had an excellent stay. Jasmine was my main contact for the days I was here and she was brilliant. Friendly, professional, informative and always with a smile. Service like this is what set hospitality businesses apart. I will stay at Hotel California when I return to Barcelona

The lady at checkin (15 Oct evening) was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to explain about the door entry and what was available. She even provided an adapter when I discovered I had left mine at the last hotel. The room was clean and very quiet. The shower was awesome. Breakfast had a good variety. A great place to stay and very centrally located in the Gothic District.

Had a horrible experience at Hotel California. On my last night there, I was woken up by water dripping from the ceiling. I notified the staff right away (at 3am), but since there was no other room available, I was forced to stay in the room with the water dripping till the „bathroom issue” upstairs was resolved in the morning. My suitcase was soaked and I got no sleep, yet the hotel refused to offer any concession for my terrible experience.

Only a few minutes walk to La Rambla, Hotel California finds itself situated amongst some of Barcelonas' most popular sights. A cosy air conditioned room is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of a busy tourist area, dotted with a wide variety of places to eat and shop. A nice comfortable bed, and a decent bathroom provides sanctuary for the weary traveller, on return from taking in the wonders of the city. Wonderful friendly staff, efficient check in and out, makes for a pleasant stay. I look forward to returning for a longer visit.

Literally at the centre of the city, I’ll always stay here whenever I’m in Barcelona!

Location was fantastic and room was quiet. But the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom smelled like sewer gas, the ac was very weak, and the internet signal was unreliable from our room. For the price, I would stay elsewhere.

Overall this hotel was great! Close to all the shops, restaurants, La Rambla, walking distance to La Boqueria (must see), the pier for day and sunset cruises, lots of happenings close by! Hotel renovations during our visit, so we went sightseeing during the day to avoid the noise. Breakfast was included and there is an awesome selection! Staff is very friendly and spoke English.
