Stayed with a friend 1 night at the Casa Santa Ana Hotel Boutique - Spa, which we both enjoyed very much. They welcome you with a free drink of your choice. They have a lovely roof top pool, which was a perfect way to cool down in the heat. They do some lovely massages and facial treatments, which we unfortunately didn't have time to try.The Garden and breakfast is gorgeous and the staff cannot do enough for you so can only recommend this place.

We were cheerfully greeted at the front door by staff. The hotel is centrally located to most eateries and just outside of the Walled City. We absolutely loved, loved, loved our stay at the Santa Ana Hotel. Highly recommend. You wont regret it.

Casa de Santa Ana is a family-owned boutique hotel in the heart of a lively neighborhood just outside the Old City. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Visiting Cartagena during a rare heatwave, with temps in the 90’s F, the AC in the room was a welcome relief. And they serve the best coconut limeade in the city!

Cosy place with only five bedrooms. Small pool on the rooftop which was really relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Very close to the night life, nevertheless absolutely quiet inside. Friendly and attentive staff, However our room in the ground floor smelt slightly of damp, most likely based on the only opening or more correctly the shutters being part of the door (no further window).

We really enjoyed our stay but had no hot water in the shower. Additionally, they came to bring something to our room and unplugged our charging phones, perhaps to save electricity. Also, the AC was stopped at 75 degrees, again, we presume to save energy. All about being green but if I am paying for a nice hotel I expect to be able to use the power and have hot water.

Casa Santa Ana was certainly nice, but overpriced for what it is. I had spent the first two nights in Cartagena elsewhere for less money and everything about Casa Santa Ana fell short in comparison. It was really the little things that made a big difference, we didn't have any soap in the room? You had to pay for water, being that you can't drink the tap water I expected the hotel to provide drinking water (at least a bottle a day?) The WiFi didn't work for the first day we were there and it was in and out for the rest of our stay. The first day/night we were there it took 10-15 minutes to get into the hotel as you don't have a key to the front entrance and have to use the knocker on the front door (I'm pretty sure the buzzer was broken?). All in all I'd say your money can definitely go further elsewhere.

The hotel is located in more of a local area but within walking distance of the old town area. It is a restored colonial home. The hotel on request provided transportation to and from the airport. The hotel staff made a great breakfast and were very helpful in providing us with a one-day guided tour of the city. We felt perfectly comfortable walking around the area. It was a much more relaxed environment than the tourist laden old town area.
