Subject: Complaint about Our Stay at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi
Dear Management
Aryaduta Suites Semanggi
Dear Sir/Madam,
Through this letter, we would like to express our complaint regarding our two-night stay with our family at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi on December 31, 2025. Overall, our stay at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi was very uncomfortable and far from our expectations.
During check-in, the hotel lobby was extremely crowded, so we had to wait in line for over 30 minutes just to get to our room. Our luggage also had to wait for a long time at the Concierge due to a shortage of Concierge staff at the time.
For your information, for about 10 years ago and the next 5 years, we always spent New Year's with our family at Aryaduta Suites Semanggi. However, in recent years, we have chosen other hotels. This year, we decided to reminisce and return to Aryaduta Suites Semanggi. Unfortunately, we no longer found the comfort and quality of service we once enjoyed.
As a hotel with the "Suites" brand and a 4-star rating, we didn't experience superior service.
Some of the room conditions we encountered included:
The family table was now small (as opposed to the previous larger one),
The sofa looked outdated and uncomfortable,
The kitchen equipment was very minimal (only a small pot for instant noodles and one frying pan),
The sink and toilet in the master bedroom were clogged,
The TV in the living room was small and there was no TV in the master bedroom, and
The air conditioning in the living room and second bedroom was not cooling.
For this, we appreciated the technician team who promptly addressed the issue by refilling the freon.
Our disappointment increased the next morning when my sister reported to the concierge that her motorcycle hadn't been registered at check-in. The concierge staff member, Sandi, responded without empathy, stating that the motorcycle was handled by the vendor, so the hotel couldn't help, even though we were staying for two nights.
This was in stark contrast to the friendly and helpful service from the team who handled us the previous night.
When I tried to speak with the Manager on Duty, the receptionist, Desy, responded in a curt tone, which we felt was completely unbecoming of the hospitality of a 4-star hotel. Our only hope was that the hotel would facilitate communication with the vendor or offer a reduction in the hourly motorcycle parking fee.
Based on this experience, we strongly deem Aryaduta Suites Semanggi a highly inadvisable hotel for families, as it fails to create a friendly, comfortable environment and lacks empathy for guests.
We hope this complaint will be taken seriously and evaluated by management to improve service quality in the future.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Widiarahmi Ulupi, M.Ikom
