This was the first hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I ended up having a room to myself so it was nice to ease into the experience. Having a bathroom in the room was great and the shower not being one of those times things was perfect. The only thing I’d not like had I been sharing the room is the bunks don’t have curtains for privacy.
There was a fan in the room which was great for warmer days.
The only complaint I had for my stay was the elevator not working. I was on the third floor and after a long day of walking, it was torture. lol
As for the location, when you’re not overly familiar with the area and just follow directions, you end up having to drag luggage through Vondelpark and hunt through the garden to find the place. I’d suggest having instructions on the site to access the hostel through the side street.
Overall the stay was great. The staff were nice and the food/coffee was good. I’d stay again!
