Hotel is clear. And convenient to everything that I needed

Reception is weird because is around the corner . They show give us the reception address instead the hotel address . Not one is at the hotel address to receive us

This is my third trip to Barcelona and the first time staying in the city as my family live in Girona. We absolutely love El Born and our accommodations were the very best! Thank you and we hope to return.

The room was tiny and the shower was hard to manuever in because of its size but the water pressure was exceptional and the room clean. My tv wasn't working. Not sure if it was the actual tv or remote. There are plenty of shopping options but not for tourist. I had to go to the party area for a barcelona tshirt. Plenty of restaurants and sight-seeing in the area. Plus the train station was only 2 blocks away.

Great stay at the Chic&Basic Zoo! We really appreciated the powerful A/C, helpful staff who let us check in early and stow our bags before check in and after check out. It was very quiet, and close to lots of restaurants and shops. It was a solid 20 minute walk to most things but very close to a train station, main bus routes, and the parc which we enjoyed!

Comfy beds, really good location, only negative is there’s no mini fridge in the rooms which would’ve been handy for keeping cold water but other than that overall good experience.

Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent location. We will certainly return. We used, due to our needs and circumstances, three different rooms. They vary in sizes, appearance and location. Of the three rooms, the one with a balcony overlooking the street and the park was the most comfortable.

The addition to the hotel in an apartment building with a different address, no reception, and a staff that was not available to help with luggage to go and check in, was a bad experience for a guest tired from travelling. The room did not have one English channel on TV, although tourists occupy it.! High bathtub to take a showera bit dangerous to get in and out

Great location on the edge of Born and opposite the zoo and park. Decent triple room with everything needed. Good price.

A great location, opposite the zoo and a good shopping street,and 15 minutes walk from the townhall square, only 2 minutes round the corner from another Chic and Basic property used for check in and b'fast, tea, coffee, and drinks. The room was indeed chic and basic, with nice high ceilings of an older property. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom adequate, with good hot water. Minor mentions (NOT moans): I'd have preferred a shelf in the shower to avoid needing to bend down for soap etc. a power socket near the desk (but you can use the TV socket) and a small fridge, but none of these would dter me from returning.

Was a little concerned about checking in at a Kiosk, I expected a box type check in. But it is a regular “hotel” type check in with a person. Then you walk around the corner to the actual hotel where you can enter with your key. The room was nice, clean with comfortable beds. The safe did not work,and I reported it the next day. They have a lovely “common “ area where you can get tea, coffee and biscuits. Our room had a small balcony that was enjoyable. Overall highly recommend
