Wonderful historical fort turned hotel. Beautiful gardens, rocky beach, crystal clear water. A private hidden gem we happened to stumble upon through Expedia.

This is a unique property in a lovely quiet and private bay. We spent 3 nights here but could have stayed longer. The staff are nice and helpful, the breakfast was great and though we didn't eat at the restaurant because we the menu only showed fish the chef will make pasta for non fish eaters. Be aware that if you eat at the restaurants in the hills above Portonovo the taxi fare is 75 Euro plus round trip.We highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay in this old fort. The hotel was clean and comfortable along with an interesting history. We had a little trouble finding it but the locals were very helpful in setting us on the right path.

My friend and I stayed here at the end of September/beginning of October. Despite being well-booked, the property felt very private and serene. Truly could not have asked for a more perfect location--especially lovely to have a private patio for guests with access to the ocean just steps away, but still separate from the more public space on the beach around the bend. Also convenient to have a small concession area to purchase drinks and light fare onsite. Our room was clean, the bathroom was spacious and equipped with the best shower during a 10-day trip. The restaurant on site was also delicious. Most importantly, the service from all of the hotel staff was excellent! The warmest welcome and checkout and nothing but professional behavior throughout. If you're lucky enough to book a room here, you will not be disappointed.

Go here, excellent 50 room property close to the sea. The restaurant and service is incredible. The waiters are playful and fun.

Feeling blessed to have found this gem of a fort hotel. Enjoyed the view during dinner at the hotel restaurant. The best hotel breakfasts. He room was clean and well appointed. The bars were fun and served amazing drinks. Great value for great service all around. We would not stay elsewhere in Portonovo! Thank you.
