The hotel is in a great spot, far enough away from Lucca to feel you're in the countryside, but still easy to get into town. There's a lovely Bar-Pasticceria a short walk away, and you can go for quite long walk in the grounds then up into the hills. Breakfast was very good. And the staff were helpful. They do have events at the hotel, but the rooms have good sound insulation, so I still slept very well.

We had a very relaxing 1 night stay at this pretty spa-style hotel in the Tuscan hills. Disappointingly, the restaurant was closed forcing us to travel to a nearby town, but we had a great experience and excellent meal. Overall it was very pleasant, but quite expensive.

What a charming place. I just loved it! It is a dream! Lots of green areas, parking is a plus, the place is ancient, but is very well kept! The outside is so charming. The room was like... going back in time! So charming! The room had air conditioning, and the bathroom is great, quite new. Staff is extremely friendly. We had dinner there one night and food is fantastic. Their Chianti wine is so good! And the best was when I was leaving and Signore Antonio spend some precious minutes chatting with me about the history of this place, which was just incredible to hear. The place has 800+ years, but it is very well maintained. This is a beautiful hotel! I could not enjoy the beautiful swiming pool because it is November and it is chilly, and so the pool was closed. But it is a beautiful swiming pool. This place is only 10 minutes from Lucca and around 20 minutes from Pisa.

Hotel Villa Cheli was a delightful and charming find in Lucca. The unique character of the hotel made our stay memorable, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We would absolutely choose to stay here again.

The location

There are much better hotels in this price class. Restaurant was not particularly good. Send back a couple of meals. The restaurant food didn’t seem very fresh which is highly unusual I this part of the world. The rooms were ok but dated, like I say better places to stay on this price class

They do have events that affects quietness

This was a beautiful property situated between Pisa and Lucca. It’s an older hotel but all of the amenities including air conditioning were good. Amazing pool area and loungers and you can run down to the lobby to get drinks and other snacks. We had a family room which had an upstairs with a king bed and downstairs there were two twin beds for the kids. Lots of good food options near by. Only negative was that the breakfast provided by the hotel wasn’t great in terms of quality or quantity of options available. They seemed to run out of things regularly and not be replaced.

A fabulous retreat from the city! We enjoyed the countryside and nearby villages. The pool provided much needed relief from the hot weather. The breakfast was goid!

Pool was amazing. Dinner prepared by the chef was the best in Italy. The staff are so nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and contained a wide assortment of foods.

Pretty place, Stefania went above and beyond to help us. Showers were too too small not even to move around and use hand held shower. Otherwise breakfast was superb and property was lovely, we would have enjoyed more if we had stayed longer. Rooms could have accommodated more than three and we could have saved money. Stefani’s solved our transportation problems

Unfriendly and unprofessional staff, loud music until midnight, overpriced. Don’t go there!

Stayed in the the Junior suit with a balcony and beautiful view. The staff is so friendly and helpful like a big family! Typical Italian rustic style but very charming hotel. Lucca only about 8 minutes away by car. Will come back again! Breakfasts are the same every day which is a bit boring . We would like to have more options like a fruit salad / soft fruit and tomatoes and eggs to choose from. Other than that - lovely place to stay. Thank you all for looking after us . Barbara and Mark

Lovely villa hotel with wonderful food and staff. Halfway between Pisa and Lucca. The pool and grounds were a delight. Great place to recover from a long flight from the US.

Stayed for 5 days. Super service, very friendly staff. Cleaning very good. Dinner menu ok, but no lunch service.

Esperienza in questa struttura praticamente perfetta dalla cortesia del personale, alla collazione con ampia scelta, dalla stanza comoda alla bella piscina che forse potrebbe in futuro chiudere alle 10.00 invece che alle 8,00. Ristorante buono ma dovrebbe aumentare la possibilità di scelta nel Menu. Qualità/Prezzo OK..

Very accommodating staff, excellent restaurant. Breakfast was VERY substandard (a coffee machine instead of real coffee, cream cornetos with no cream, cheese and meats old and dried out.
