Came for a 4 night stay, sightseeing with my mum. Really great communication with the owner/manager. Technicality of the booking meant we had to switch rooms on the last night. A few minor things could be improved: the kettle doesn't fit well under the faucet, no easy place for the kettle to actually plug in, the ac remote control was not in the first room, we did not have a twin bed set up on the last night and the pillows were not good on the last night either. For the price and location this was still adequate but I would probably wish for these improvements if I came again. It was clean, quiet enough, secure to access, and simple so no huge complaints.

10/10!!! On arrival into Budapest I unfortunately lost my luggage and the staff at the bus station were so rude to me, I was so upset and ready to turn back and go home. When I arrived to House Oktogon my mood completely changed as I was greeted warmly by İldi who insisted that I borrow some of her personal items since I lost my luggage and even offered to call the bus company to try and help me locate my bag. She also checked on me the next day to make sure I was ok, she was incredibly kind and caring. The room itself was beautiful and very clean too. The public transport links were great (1 or 2 stops to the centre) or you could walk into town within 15-20 minutes. If you are a solo female looking for a safe place to stay with kind hosts, I highly recommend!

Fint boende med ett utmärkt läge i ett fint område av Budapest med närhet till det mesta. Bra bemötande i receptionen och rummet va fräscht och fint med alla bekvämligheter, perfekt med ett pentry med kylskåp . Ett plus för en effektiv luftkonditionering , enda minus är trapporna upp .
