I stayed at the Azaya Beach Resort and originally booked a 7-night stay. However, due to the extremely poor condition of the hotel and multiple safety concerns, I checked out the following day and booked another hotel instead. Upon check-in, the shower in my room was not working. I informed the staff and asked them to fix it while I went out for dinner. When I returned, nothing had been repaired, and worse, my room had been left unlocked with three laptops, my passport, and other valuables inside. This was completely unacceptable and highly unsafe. The room itself was in very poor condition. There were stains on the bedding and bathrobes, the slippers provided were far too small, and the bathroom doors had no “push” or “pull” signage. Initially, I thought the shower door was broken because it barely opened when pulled. When I asked staff for assistance, they told me that was simply how far it opened. Only later did I discover it needed to be pushed instead. There was also no rubbish bin in the room. Housekeeping standards were extremely poor. The curtains were blackened at the bottom, no one replenished amenities the next day, and the tea, coffee, and cups were never replaced. The lighting and switches throughout the room were confusing and poorly designed. The mirrors were peeling away at the edges, several floor tiles were cracked, there was no desk to work from, and the television screen had a visible shadow defect. The food quality was also terrible. It won't let me type

Breakfast was so fresh and delicious . Everything was so freshly cooked and service provided by the staff was so good. Breakfast was full of variety like fresh fruits, South Indian, North Indian , Italian food, non-vegetarian food, fresh and delicious juices and smoothies was the cherry on the cake. Overall it was a great experience and we loved it. Special thanks to the Chef for variety in food menu and for baking delicious sign-off Cake for us.

Can't fault the staff or service, but we were disappointed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the room. We arrived to toothpaste splatters on the bathroom walls, spills on the cabinets and greasy prints on the doors. The staff were very kind and responsive to the request for extra cleaning however. We did also have issues with the shower not sealing properly at the bottom so the bathroom floor would flood whenever we used it. All the grout was mouldy and leaking. This would have been a fantastic stay were it not for the poorly maintained room.

I recently stayed at the Azaya Beach Hotel and, unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. While the location has great potential, a number of issues made the stay disappointing for both myself and my companions. Room Quality & Cleanliness We encountered several problems with the room, including a lack of proper upkeep and cleanliness. Basic standards were not met, and some amenities were either not functioning correctly or not provided as advertised. Service & Responsiveness The service fell short throughout our stay. When we raised concerns, the responses were slow, inconsistent, or not actioned at all. For a hotel of this level, we expected more attentive and reliable support from staff. Food & Facilities The dining experience was also underwhelming. Food quality varied, and some items were unavailable despite being listed. A number of facilities were closed, poorly maintained, or not operating as expected, which significantly impacted the overall holiday experience. Value for Money Given the price point, the stay did not represent good value. We felt the hotel’s offerings did not match what was promoted, and the unresolved issues left us feeling dissatisfied. Overall, this was not the relaxing break we had hoped for. Improvements are needed across service, maintenance, and guest experience to justify the hotel’s rating and cost.

Date of visit : 22-24 December Purpose: Leisure 2 adults + 1 infant Location: 5/5 located right on Benaulim beach adjacent to a Taj property. You can directly step onto the soft white sands and enjoy the beach. Room: 2/5 room was spacious with balcony. Interiors not up to high standards with average maintenance. Bathtub located outside and exposed to elements hence dirty. The dome of our ceiling fan fell onto our bed, thankfully while none of us were on it. Food: 3/5 Breakfast buffet located at La Concha restaurant. Limited spread but decent taste. Provide complimentary infant food which was appreciable. Pricing high, but some decent beach shacks located just besides this property where a large number of resort guests seemed to prefer. Service: 4/5 Staff courteous and friendly. But issues with shortage. Our 3 pm check-in finally occurred at 4:30pm and some guests who had arrived before us were kept waiting for longer. Amenities: Spa, swimming pool, kids play area are available. The kids pool wasn’t heated making it difficult to use even after the whole day had passed at 5 pm. Property well maintained.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay - even in the rainy season - helped by making use of the on-site facilities. All staff we interacted with were extremely polite and helpful - we couldn't have asked for better service.

An excellent place to stay in South Goa! The staff is exceptionally courteous, and the spacious rooms are thoughtfully designed. The entire hotel campus is picturesque. The food was delightful, though the breakfast and dinner buffet options could be more diverse.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Azaya Resort in Goa, which was nothing short of a nightmare. I booked one of the highest-rated rooms with a private pool, expecting a luxurious experience, but instead, I encountered multiple serious issues that completely ruined my stay. 1. Air Conditioning Failure: On the first night, the air conditioning in our room was not working, leaving us in extreme discomfort. Despite sending a technician, the issue could not be resolved, forcing us to endure an unbearably hot night. 2. Unclean and Unhygienic Conditions: Both the original and the replacement room were dirty, including the private pool, which was in an unacceptable state. 3. Water Issues: On the second day, the toilet and shower had no running water, making basic hygiene impossible. 4. Damaged Bedding: The bedsheets provided were torn, old, and completely worn out. 5. Pest Infestation: The most shocking issue was the presence of large bugs and cockroaches running throughout the room, making our stay highly uncomfortable and unsanitary. I have video evidence documenting all these issues, including the broken air conditioning, lack of water, damaged sheets, and cockroach infest

For the price we payed the hotel was not good. We spent 400$ a night where the TV didn’t work, the food was very bad, and the fan made lot of noise, and the cupboard was broken. Wouldn’t pay more than 200$ a night for this hotel.

Had a great stay! Hotel staff is great, nice pool, plenty of areas to lounge around, love the beach access and food options at the beach shacks. Room was large and really nice. Few kinks with some stuff in the room - hot water taking a while to flow out of the shower, room phone making sounds and disturbing sleep.

Staff were great, room conditions are not great. Crumbling ceilings, water leaks, dirty carpet , peeling wall paints etc. Definitely not 5 star as listed per Expedia.

Not bad. Skip the room with private pool and butler. Private pool is a filthy bug cocktail. The butler is a phone number who doesn't answer. Kind of a waste.
