The condition of the room and bed is quite comfortable, only the bathroom/shower room is small/narrow

I stayed at the Rattan Inn to attend my nephew's wedding reception at the Calamus Ballroom. Check-in was around 5:00 PM, but I couldn't get into my room because it wasn't ready yet. I waited quite a while, so I finally told the receptionist I wanted to cancel and find another hotel. Eventually, they found me another room. I wondered why they didn't find it sooner. Other things, like the facilities and cleanliness of the room, were good and met hotel standards.

Highly recommended, especially the bread is delicious.

At check-in time, I was told to wait even though I arrived at 3 PM, when I should have been able to check in. The reason was that the room wasn't ready yet, even though check-in should have been at 2 PM.
