Perhaps the rooms and hotel ambiance could use a bit of a facelift to make them more contemporary, and the TVs should also be upgraded to Smart TVs. Otherwise, the service is pleasant, and the staff is very helpful. The breakfast menu isn't as extensive as it once was.

Despite the nice receptionist, it's not worth it for the price. The AC is propped up with tissue, so it can't swing. The result is uncomfortable. I wanted to ask for an extra blanket because the one I had was thin and the AC couldn't swing, but they said it had to be charged. When asked why the AC was propped up, they replied, "That's usually because it's broken." Come on, so they gave me a room with broken facilities. With a fairly pricey price and a 4-star hotel description, the room wasn't soundproof, so the noise from the pool downstairs and the hallway could be heard in the room. Will not come back anymore, seriously.

The room needs renovation. Sorry, but for Rp530,000, I got a room like that. The sheets were stained, and there were animals on the mattress. We were still uncomfortable, and sleeping there felt unclean. It felt like an old room, sorry. 🙏

My first time staying with my family at the Merapi Merbabu Hotel. The impression was positive. Free parking, ample space. There is a clean swimming pool and free fitness facilities for guests. The staff is neat, polite, and friendly. They are open to anything we have to say. For management, this is not a criticism but a small suggestion that hopefully can be accommodated: In the restaurant: sugar substitutes need to be provided for diabetic guests. The protein menu needs to be more varied. Regular maintenance of the fitness facilities. Availability of mini refrigerators and hair dryers in the rooms. Although I think this is standard for a hotel of Merapi Merbabu's class. Closed changing rooms after swimming.
