I absolutely loved my stay at Sofia Boutique Residence. The room was stunning — the interior design is classic, elegant, and genuinely pleasing to the eye. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is incredibly calm, making it the perfect place for some real me-time and proper rest. The staff hospitality was also top-notch. Everyone greeted me with warm smiles, and the receptionist in particular truly stood out. Her attitude was exceptional — very professional, very welcoming, and she even gave me great local recommendations. Everything about this place is almost perfect, and I’m definitely coming back here the next time I visit Yogyakarta. Keep up the amazing work!

The aesthetics of the room met expectations. However, it felt uncomfortable because the air conditioning in the room wasn't cooling. It was set to 16°C, but it was still hot. Furthermore, there was a refrigerator in the room, but it wasn't functioning properly. Instead of cooling, it actually warmed whatever was inside. The fruit, which was included in the free minibar, couldn't be consumed due to the refrigerator issue. I contacted the hotel regarding this, but perhaps because it was only a one-day stay, no action was taken, which is understandable.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, and so far I find the room ambience exotic and very artistic in design. It feels private and comfortable, with spacious rooms. The breakfast is quite satisfying, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When I went there, it wasn't high season so it was quiet and nice.. the hotel was nice and spacious and luxurious.. it wasn't unclean but maybe because the carpet was white/cream so the brown carpet stains in the room were clearly visible. There was only 1 children's TV program and not many choices of shows. Please check the curtain because there was a torn one in my room so it was annoying even though the room was luxurious. It was already luxurious but unfortunately the TV choices were limited + soap and shampoo like in a 3-star hotel. It would be better if the bottles were upgraded or something was added so it would give a luxurious impression too. Other than that, it was OK and the mattress was very comfortable. Even though the room was dark but not dark, the room was comfortable even though I only used small lights when sleeping but it wasn't dark and stuffy at all. I still want to repeat it and still recommend it.
