Loved everything about this place except for the lack of information about the stairs. The lofts were located up a flight of stairs and the bathrooms in the lofts were located on the second level with the twin beds. If I had known this before booking, I would have booked other rooms. We had people in our party who had very heavy suitcases who would have packed a smaller overnight bag had they known. It was also very awkward using the bathroom next to my sleeping adult daughter. If it's kids sleeping in the twin beds, great! If it is all adults in your group, find another place.

I found everything about the Bentley great except that I did not know that the bathroom was on the second floor of our loft. I have mild mobility issues, however it was manageable.. The location of the inn was perfect for us, and right in the middle of downtown. The food at the restaurant was great. I would definately stay again.

Keys that didn’t work posed a problem. I couldn’t get into my room around noonish; staff couldn’t either, not even with the master key. So I couldn’t refresh myself properly. We went to a play then afterwards we were informed they couldn’t guarantee entry! They suggested we move rooms, but we had dinner and theatre reservations, so no time. Not sure if a locksmith was called, or what the problem was. Luckily the key worked upon return. Also, the in-room info said room cleaning was between 10 and 1 pm. No one showed up, so we started getting ready afterwards. At 1:25, a housekeeper knocked and asked if we needed anything. We asked if she could back as we were getting ready to leave. She said she was leaving so couldn’t come back to clean the room. The beds didn’t have fitted bottom sheets, so the entire sheet situation was in disarray each morning. The sheets weren’t large enough to stay tucked in. I did speak with staff, and we got the beds made. (Our original room we had reserved had malfunctioning A/C, so we were assigned another room upon arrival. They managed to fix that quickly, but we didn’t want to move rooms to the original reserved room.) Everything else was fine, but the operational uncertainties affected our comfort and sense of security and made me feel I was accommodating them a bit too often.

A great way to be in the heart of Stratford, walkable to shops and theaters, with separate sleeping areas for teens or older kids, and free underground parking nearby. You just have to be OK with stairs - both to carry your luggage up to your room and down again, because there is no elevator, and to go to the bathroom if you’re sleeping on the main level of your loft-style room. (Also be advised that if you’re sensitive to morning light, and thinking about sleeping late, the skylight in your loft will have other ideas in summer months…) We absolutely love this location, the food at Bentley’s (lunch, dinner and late night/bar, no breakfast) and the recently renovated rooms which include mini fridges, small microwaves and sinks, Keurig coffeemakers, electric teakettles, basic dishes (no bowls) and ironing boards. The WiFi connection using a QR code or password from the TV screen is seamless, and for Michiganders/other Americans the TV has several US channels. But really, if you’re coming to Stratford, don’t sit in your room watching TV - there’s too much else to do!

Lovely stay!

The woman at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. The pub food and beer were excellent the Friday afternoon and night. The Saturday night for dinner was not as enjoyable - there must have been a different staff making the salads as they were not half as good as Fridays. The servers each day were so friendly and efficient and just a delight. Our hotel room looked identical to the website which was great. The giant skylight brightens the room well, but be aware that there are no windows, at least in our room - this was a little odd. The skylight does not make it conducive to sleeping in, so thankfully we are early risers. I would highly recommend Bentley's Inn. Truly it is the staff who make the difference wherever you go, and Bentley's staff is exceptional.

I am hesitant to give Bentley's Inn an amazing review. It is a little gem that was simply amazing and if this secret gets out, they may be fully booked next time I want to stay there. Parking was great. Great boutique hotel. They had a cover band downstairs in the bar and we could barely hear them. They way they repurposed this building into a boutique hotel was amazing.

The hotel is centrally located. You can walk everywhere. There is free underground parking across the street. The lofts have been recently renovated in a stylish way and the rooms offer lots of space for travellers.

Nice place. Keys were a bit finicky, and there are A LOT of steep stairs. Good location. Free parking. Would stay again.

Such an easy and well thought out check in process, they really empower you will information. The room also actually had amenities and extras like makeup remover wipes which was so exciting to see in this day and age where most hotels have cut back on their hospitality elements. Such a convenient location and so nice having the bar below (and we could never hear it from our room!) We absolutely want to return and bring our friends with us!

Parking was across the road and down the street a bit. Lots of stairs at the inn so accessibility could be an issue for some. Very convenient location and restaurant was great.

Cool hotel right in the middle of downtown where all the buzz is. Very convenient as it’s right above the restaurant/bar. Easy to go grab a bite for linch and a late night pint.

Clean, comfortably lit, comfortable bed, stairs in room sized and laid out perfectly. Restaurant and food amazing. Parking access the street was heated and very secure! Didn’t want to leave.
