The STAFF is just incredible. Seriously amazing. This was my 2nd time staying for 5 days and I was almost sad leaving them. They were so friendly, so accommodating, and I really felt like they were happy to see me. Special shout out to Milo's Mom! The Study allows staff dogs to be at the property now and again and I was able to get a much needed puppy-fix with Milo. The Co-Op was great. The manager was wonderful. We enjoyed several very good meals there and honestly, I couldn't have felt more looked after when I did show up alone. Everything is a 10 except the rooms..... The rooms were not as good as I remember. We had 3 total and there were certainly some issues with lighting, bathroom storage space and overall room feel. I'm not sure what happened from the last time, but they are not as nice as I recall. The mini fridge was gone. I called for a fridge and did get one, but it was this big beat up box. There was a major lack of proper lighting, no wall decor, and it appeared that shelving or something was missing from the bathroom. I did take photos of all this and I hope to share that with someone directly at the hotel. Because it's a 10 min walk to HUP, I will be staying there again in the future without a doubt. I actually intend on stopping in for lunch during my next day trip. But I do hope they resolve the room issue before my next stay!

The bar staff were very friendly. Upon checking out, I had to wait for a staff member to finish her text before she could check me out. Very unprofessional.

This hotel is perfectly well located with easy access to UPenn and Drexel. The hotel is very nicely appointed and the staff and service were delightful. I plan to stay there again next time I am in Philly.

I worked in hospitality for over 15 years so I sometimes have unattainable expectations/ the Study was beautiful and clean property! The attached restaurant, The Co’op, had great service and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend The Study to anyone visiting University City!

This is a hotel with wonderful facilities that is maintained with care; however, I was very much taken aback upon arrival (I had phoned in the afternoon to confirm my reservation and to notify the hotel of late evening arrival) at the hotel to be told that the specific room type I had paid for (double room) was unavailable and that we were assigned a King bed room with a rollaway bed. There was no notice prior to arrival. I would have appreciated some kind of notice and gesture from the hotel in such a situation. The room was very difficult to navigate as the rollaway bed made access to the window, desk, sitting chair, anything that was on the other side of the king size bed impossible without standing on the bed. I would have liked to have stayed here without this issue, as everything else made such a positive impression.
