Really great place to stay, lovely olde worlde restaurant, great menu, plenty of space between tables and a relaxed but attentive atmosphere when we dined in the evening.

Food staff and back courtyard were excellent as was the atmosphere Negatives were no aircon no fridge in the room, bath/shower combination and a dodgy tap in the bathroom We really enjoyed our stay

The best thing about the stay was the executive balcony room, overlooking the fields of sheep. It was really quiet and the massive bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could have been better: out of order sign on the bidet; the bath leaked, so I had to keep topping it up while bathing; the floor was dirty with hair; only one hand towel. I did request another but it never arrived. The food was barely satisfactory. We had the 3 course menu for £19.95 but the portions were very small and not very good. The second night we chose of the main menu but it wasn't much better, plus we waited for an hour for the starter. The cooked breakfast was OK but my eggs Benedict was flooded with sauce, so much so that the bread beneath was soggy. We won't be going back.

Really enjoyable two night stay at this hotel . Staff were really friendly and welcoming . Room 12 was a great size with a large comfortable bed , great tea tray , toiletries and large soft towels . View from the window was the fields with plenty of chatter from the sheep . We ate at the pub both nights as the food was great quality . The pub is more of a restaurant than a drinking pub but you can sit near the bar or in the lovely outside area if you don’t want food . Only thing I would recommend is the pub puts frosted glass in the bathroom for privacy . We would like to visit again in the future .

I was in room 16. Room 16 is next to the boiler room so it got hot. It was also occasionally noisy from the pipes. The staff were friendly and the food (breakfast and dinner) was decent. The views were brilliant.

The room was clean. The bed very comfortable. Lovely view. A second comfortable chair would have been good. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Cosy bar.

This place was an amazing find! I never expected it to be as good as it turned out to be! It was about 3 miles or so outside Conwy and very easy to find. We were in a twin room (number 4) which had its own little terrace and we were woken up the next morning with sheep and lambs right up against our fence. The food both evenings in the restaurant was excellent and what we liked about the breakfasts was that they were cooked to order. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.

A very calming place to stay, with views over open fields and hills, with really helpful staff and possibly the best breakfast I've had in a hotel in a long time. I would recommend the Groes Inn near Conwy to anyone travelling in the area.

Nothing around pub , nice views , nice food

Food was tasty. Pleasant view from room but too much noise - cleaning staff talked loudly and continuously outside our door in the morning.
