My overall experience & stay at hotel Jean Bart was really good. The hotel rooms are on the small side but if you're coming to visit paris you're not really staying in the hotel for much more than to rest. The building itself is old & is maintained through maintenance. I didn't really use much of the amenities including the free breakfast although it is available, you have to tell them ahead of time. The only true amenity I use was the elevator which was very handy if you have luggage. The spiral steps are old & if you are older not really useful. My only issue I've had during my stay was the shower heads being really dirty but besides that the rooms were very clean the beds were clean although there were spots on the Box frame of the beds the mattress was clean. no insects or bugs or rodents doing my stay & they even offer free Wi-Fi. I came to this hotel when the temperature was very mild so I didn't need an air conditioner although they do not offer an air conditioner my room had a balcony with an open door which offered more than enough cool air to come in. overall the customer service was very nice even if you do not speak French, a couple words will get you through your stay. The reason why this hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting parents is because it's right in the middle of the city in the 6th arrondissement you can literally walk anywhere in Paris from the Latin quarters. Great restaurants & cafes near the hotel and a local store right across the street.

The hotel is in a nice location - semi-quiet for Paris, great restaurants and shopping nearby, easy to reach many tourist sites by metro, and neighborhood was safe. However, the room was very dirty - carpets looked and felt like they hadn't been cleaned or replaced for 30 years and there was tons of visible mold in the shower.

The location of this hotel is very good. It’s convenient to the Metro and numerous restaurants. That is the best thing I can say about it. It does not have air conditioning and is not quaint by any means. The lobby and rooms are very dated. Bathroom is nice. Some of the staff are helpful. It was recommended by a popular social media Paris travel group. I was very disappointed in the stay.

All good, breakfast a good value; expensive for ** but I guess that Paris is expensive.

Located in a good location, close to the park and restaurants. Staff was friendly.

In a nice location near the park, cafes, a walk or metro ride/uber to the more tourist areas which suits us better. Everyone was so helpful and the cappuccinos, breakfast and alcohol in the cozy and cute common area were nice each morning and evening. I will say the rooms are small and my husband and I needed to strategies our passing around the bed and the bathroom so if your on the larger side it may not be for you. But we loved the local people, very kind and unlike what you hear about the French, no one was ever rude to us if you are just kind.

The best croissants ever at breakfast. Tissues in the room would be nice.

This a quaint, no fuzz hotel. There is a small lift/elevator for 2 people max (w luggage). The rooms are small and older but it gets the job done. The restroom/toilette is spacious and are remodeled compared to the room. What we liked was the helpful staff and the location. Quiet neighborhood. Close to Jardin du Luxembourg. Walking distance to plenty of stores and restaurants.

The hotel was in a great location. Check in was speedy. No noise at night.

The hotel room was very clean and cosy. We really liked the double doors that opened up onto a small veranda. The bathroom seemed brand new. The hotel itself was rustic but clean and well maintained. It’s so close to Luxembourg gardens and a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro stations. Be aware that some metros don’t always stop at all stops! We found the green line more reliable than the purple line, these are the closest. There is a great supermarket opposite the hotel and lots of shops and cafes within a 5 minute walk. The only downside (and it’s not a big one overall!) is that the staffs English was limited. Would stay again.

Staff generally disinterested not at all accommodating. Location was good everything else downhill.

It was a great stay and they even let us check in 30 minutes early since the room was ready. I will say our last day there one of the staff told us that we were supposed to be leaving our keys at the hotel whenever we would go out and we weren't told that at check-in. So truly the only thing I'd recommend is making sure to explain those things at check-in but no big deal. Other than that, the hotel room was clean and I would definitely stay there again!

Good location, nesr RER and Metros, Several nice restaurants nearby. Supermarket and bakery across the street.Nice staff. Ok cleaning.

Lovely little family-run hotel. Ideally located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Clean, pleasant, renovated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. This is my fifth stay and I will definitely be back.

Great location! A local market store right across the street for all your basic needs. Filling breakfast and a clean room.
