Hostess was amazing! She was up when we arrived late and had a fantastic breakfast for us early the next day. We also LOVED all of the furry friends roaming the property!

Unique property with a large comfortable room. The innkeeper was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was exccelent.

Charming place. The grounds are beautiful. The room was large and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious. There are dogs on the property. Very sweet and friendly dogs, but if you have dog issues be aware.

Villa Margerita is an amazing cozy place to stay. The owner and the staff are super nice and make you feel welcomed. We spent one night in transition from SJO to the Arenal but ai would have spent more days just relaxing in the area. Defintely a 5 star!

Such a friendly start to our trip. Not far from the airport, perfect sized family room and delicious breakfast.

Margarita, was great. We loved her dogs and cats. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet location not too far from the airport. We will stay here again if we go back to Costa Rica.

Host was amazing

This was the perfect place to stay after we landed in CR. We got there at 10:45 pm and we were greeted by our host Margarite and one of her super friendly dogs. We were offered food and beverages which was very kind of her at such a late hour. The room was more than we even needed and we had a great sleep. Breakfast was delicious and we headed out shortly thereafter to catch the Ferry to get to Santas Tresea. Perfect location not too far from the airport but you get out of the hustle and bustle and an easy drive from there to our next destination. Make sure you use Waze for directions. There is no sign at the road for the hotel but once you get down a short lane way you will see it!

The host was very nice and super accommodating. The breakfast was good too. It’s a traditional Costa Rican location within 15 minutes from the airport.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff

I am quite surprised by the many good reviews - my experience was a bit different. We arrived late and were greeted by somebody who immediately wanted to upsell us on a room that really wasn’t much different. The room itself: small, the glass sliding door was tough to operate, the gate could not close because of alignment issues, the light switch cover fell off the wall, there were dead bugs on the side of the bed, and there was no water coming from the shower. We did not ask for help since we didn’t really have much time there, but for the price we paid we did expect more … Having said that, the grounds were cute, lots of flowers, nice walkways, and seating areas.

Margarite was a friendly and amazing host who greeted us personally as soon as we arrived. She was over the top accommodating in all aspects of our stay! We love animals so we enjoyed her dogs and cats and chickens running all over the place! Her breakfasts were great and the whole place was very quaint and rustic. Even in August it was cool on the mountain so having no air conditioning was not a problem.

The property is beautiful and cute. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a very welcoming place to stay with friendly pets - made us feel at home although had all the character of a costa rican villa! We would book here again in a heartbeat! My boys loved the extra space on the grounds and breakfast and patios with hammocks were a treat!

It is a very cute place with a lovely pool, beautiful grounds, a very attentive hostess, friendly service and staff and good breakfast. Lots of attention to detail. Overall very comfortable and I will definitely stay there again.
