I usually do not post reviews at Expedia but I think it is important to warn about the experience, I recently had at Jungshoved Præstegård. When I arrived, I was told by the person, who checked me in that the room I had booked, the Classic room, only had a shared bathroom a fact I had not noticed at the reservation. When she, a young woman from Ukraine, saw my reaction, she was kind enough to offer me a room with a bathroom, because, as she said, you are the only guest anyway. I was of course happy with the solution and enjoyed my stay so much that I decided to extend for another night. Later, I met the owner of the place, who appeared very forthcoming and nice until she at checkout in a very unpleasant way informed me, that the room I had occupied was much more expensive than the one I had paid for and on a very businesslike way presented me with an extra charge of 3000 kroner. The amount included 3 breakfasts but still, an outrageous amount, in particular since I was not informed that the change of room would be charged on top of what I already had paid. When I tried to challenge the amount, she became very agitated and consequently I decided to pay and put the entire thing on my very short list of unfortunate travel experiences. To add to the bad attitude, I was denied a late check out, even though the place was empty and no one else needed the room.

We chose this hotel mostly because it had a lovely high rating, but think it maybe has since changed ownership? Weird tchotchkes all over the place, manager's / owner's (?) kids screaming in the kitchen... all a little hokey, without the charm you might have expected from the photos. We were charged extra for the breakfast btw which at 300DKK for 2 was shockingly bad. A few bits of supermarket cold cuts, some windfall apples and awful ginger(?) coffee so bad I couldn't drink it. Pretty location on the water, button't keep the high ratings for long if this is the best they can do. Certainly wouldn't recommend at the price.

Amazing experience in this slice of heaven of a b&b. Super-friendly staff, very peaceful, excellent breakfast, large clean rooms, all surrounded by peaceful nature and sea.

They have a charger for electrical cars, which we used for a fee. It worked very well.

Our stay was, regrettably, short and so we could not take advantage of all on offer. However the proprietor was very accommodating, and the room was beautiful and comfortable.

We received a lovely, warm welcome. We were shown around and given a lot of information to help with a day trip to Copenhagen. What a great family! They couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. The house is lovely and the setting is stunning. Our room was very comfortable and cosy, with a view over the sea. It is so peaceful and we slept really well. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of meats, cheeses, fruit, bread, hot items etc. You won’t go away hungry. We loved staying here.

It is a beautiful old building set in a lovely garden, the hosts are very friendly.

We had an amazing stay! Everything was clean and comfortable and the people were lovely. We didn't have time for breakfast but got to have a nice cup of coffee before leaving. I would definitely go back again!

Fantastisk hyggeligt sted, som varmt kan anbefales.

Helt fantastisk lantlig miljö med mycket charm och känsla i prästgården. Ägarna är otroligt trevliga och hjälpsamma, man känner sig som hemma. Fin frukost som man kan njuta på verandan med fantastisk utsikt över fält och hav. Här vill jag bo fler gånger!

Great hosts. We loved our room (all the rooms are unique and individually decorated). Will definitely be back soon :-)

Underbart ställe! Fantastiskt välkomnande av ägarna, vacker miljö och härligt bad i havet! Fin liten ort intill med vackra hus, kullerstensgator och bra restauranger. Utsökt frukost på prästgården också!

Det var et dejligt sted at holde vores første del af sommer ferie. Værter var dejlige og imødekommende. De ville altid gerne sørge for at deres gæster har det godt.

Stedet lever virkelig op til sine gode anmeldelser - ren idyl med et værtspar/ personale som fik os til at føle os velkomne. Vi kommer gerne igen.
