The area around the hotel felt a little sketchy. A lot of abandoned buildings. It isn’t very convenient to downtown. But if you don’t mind an Uber ride it’s great.

Stayed only one night as we extended our stay and had to move to a different hotel. Location is not convenient for a stroll around the centre of the old city, but somewhat accessible by bus/tram. Nearby food options are rather scarce. Desk service was polite, the can they pre booked for 3:15 am did not arrive and a subsequent cab was called and only arrived @3:45am.

Hotel Hilton Bordeaux Garden Inn 17/4/2025 Good day to you following our recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bordeaux have been requested to write a review in relation to our stay and experience. We arrived quite late in the afternoon around 5:30 PM and went to reception and was greeted very kindly by the receptionist at that time. He confirmed our room reservation for three people just for one night dinner bed-and-breakfast we were explained about restaurant which wasn’t too much of a problem as this was our second time at the hotel following stay last year, which we enjoyed very much. We entered our room to find it the same as we had experienced before and knowing we were three people, yet to gain the room was Only set up for two people There was an extra set of towels on the bed, but only 2 cups & enough milk for two people and two bottles of water, which is not ideal when you have booked for three people dinner bed-and-breakfast I came down to reception and asked why the room had only been set up for two people as we were three to which they apologised. I said we would also like extra glasses, decaffeinated coffee (as we only drink decaffeinated coffee), extra milk and water glass & tea cup. The reception gentleman said he would organise this and bring it up once it was already, this was within 15 minutes. He arrived at our room and handed me one milk, one espresso cup one tea cup no water and no water glass and the coffee was normal. This was a pointless

The breakfast, as said by other reviewers, is excellent with different stations for hot/cooked and continental and cereals and fruit, croissants and pain au chocolat, cakes and bread and waffles and pancakes. Great value to set you up for the day and open early until 10 for the more leisurely and rested clientele. Hotel ad restaurant reception staff were friendly, polite and helpful though we did receive some helpful and some less helpful advice regarding sightseeing and were overcharged on arrival, but this was soon rectified. The location was quiet with easy transport links and a short 10 minute walk to the station for trains, more buses and trams, and the airport shuttle coach. Some bar/cafe/restaurants close to the hotel and a carrefour mini supermarket. Our room had a lovely big window with view into the city and some of the Garonne river. Room was a nice size for a twin, with tea and coffe making facilities, iron and board, tv and airconditioning though we struggled to get the room less than 19 degrees. Bathroom had a lovely big powerful shower and a handheld showerhead as well. We didn’t make time to use the gym facilities. Cleaning staff were polite, patient courteous and thorough. Hotel makes some efforts to encourage clientele to consider the environment and reuse towels where not too dirty. There was just one stain on one duvet, which had obviously been washed and clean but on pure white was a bit unsightly (pen?) It was a very enjoyable, comfortable stay.

Great stay. Very clean. Convenient to train station (12 minute walk). We used as our base for day trip to Lourdes. Bordeaux is a beautiful city. We did take a taxi/uber to the main city area. That is not writhing walking distance. Our room had a beautiful river view.

Quite disappointed. Shiny new hotel, but.... Hot shower only in the morning. Weather was cold and wet, so a warm shower in the evening would have been nice. Asked for quiet, got put next to the elevator. A view would have been nice on the riverside but got up close view to the adjoining office tower. So.. not really platinum client treatment. Other hotels in Bordeaux to choose.
